If Cotto couldn't keep Margarito off him after constantly connecting, how can floyd?

The only way to beat Margarito is to bring the fight to him and put him on the defensive. (Pwill, Mosley, Pac.)

Floyd would have no chance at being Margarito which is why he ducked him plain and simple.
Like Mosley (the best chin at WW) was laughing huh?

Baldomir cuts the ring pretty well but to slow to get off against Mayweather.

Floyd is a better fighter now/then at dealing with that and Floyd gave way worse than he got against Chavez. Cotto does not have a better more rounded offense than Floyd, he only has a bit more power~

Margarito stands little chance of landing any thing of note on Floyd while Floyd would land whenever he would throw. It would not be very pretty, Margarito just is not that good~
no...floyd is a better boxer than cotto.....cotto has a better offnese than floyd overall, speed is the only thing he has on cotto.....i aint gona lie, margo wouldmiss a lot but you also have to consider floyd is a minimal puncher, he did like 20 punches per round againts a not much power puncher, not much skilled , no ability of cutting off the ring effectivley in baldomir....like i said i aint even basing my prediction on the first jlc fight but instaed from a lil guy in chavez....

I would have liked to see Mayweather vs Margarito when Marg was at his prime.

You're mad, I get it. You get tired of saying that Floyd Mayweather would win every perceived fight out there. You'd wish he'd fight the top fighters instead of going on vacation or retire. I get it, and I feel for you.

I can look at Cotto's resume and Cotto's losses that he's endured and feel proud that he at least made the attempt as opposed to ranting on UStream about beating yellow midget pinoys and forcing them to feed him chicken. I get it. Carry on brother
My bad I thought you said Mayweather fans wished he could fight like Cotto... you're right Mayweather didn't fight the best WW's out there.

Floyd is more accurate, more precise, better schooled, better at countering, better at transition from offense to defense, better at transitioning from defense to offense, has better timing, has a better variety of punches, I could go on~

Margarito would land less than average which is like 16% 1000*.16 is 160 most of which would not be clean, Floyd would land close to 50% 500*.5 is 250 almost all of which would be clean and sharp. Efficiency~ Floyd throws like 45-50 punches a round and against an open guy like Margarito it would probably be toward the high end, which would tail off toward the end as Floyd takes his foot off the gas.

Margarito is piss poor at cutting off the ring that is why he took so many shots against Cotto, he followed him~

And let's say for a second floyd has an incredible workrate, which he doesn't. He still wouldn't be able to hurt Margarito enough to slow him down.

Sure he's got his legs, but marg is a master at closing space, and even if he runs track for 6 rounds, marg is eventually gonna walk him down.

Or he'd be boo'd so much for running(because he'll have to run the entire 3 minutes of every round to be safe) that he'd be forced to fight, or everybody loses respect.
How often would Floyd get hit? Floyd took a right from Shane and didn't go down. UD (8-4 at least) by Mayweather (not the current version but say 1-1.5 year ago, current version is unknown).

accurate and precise?........whats the diference?...cotto has better combinations( the main reciepe for better offense), better power, and more out put....lets' say maro lands around 16 % on floyd's matrix defense( maybe a bit too low).......floyd has like 20puches per round againts a badlomir, so we have to cut that down to aout 15 since margo is hell of a lot better than baldo........even if floyd lands 100 % of his puches which is ridiculous , still would'nt be enough to out point margs....

you cannot compare shane and margo in terms of the dirence of punches landed between them on floyd.....shane was not as active vs floyd for some reasons and that my frined was not becuase of floyd's punching power or offense...
