I hope pac forgets about him & doesnt give him the pay day that he will surely need in the future.
Both of their legacies will be questioned. Floyd doesn't need Pacquiao, he can come back and fight Paulie Malignaggi and still do 750k+ PPV buys.

Both are media hyped cherry pickers.

not even close. Floyd basically has a international/universal reputation as a cherry picking ducker afraid to lose his undefeated records & fight threatening opposition.

Pac's reputation has been basically been left intact by the american media. Its floyd that's taking hits public relations wise.

Sure both dont need each other & can make great money, but the court of public opinion is in Pac's corner not floyd.

That will change 10 or 20 years or so once both there careers are over.

You think Today's media is gonna carry out in the years to come? If that's true, Ali would be one of the most hated men in boxing for being publicly racist and calling America's hero a white collared zero.

I find it rather funny that you have the audacity to call those guys cherry pickers, then tout a giant sig of one of the greatest cherry pickers of all time, Roy Jones Jr . I can agree with Floyd because I've followed his career and that's exactly what he's always done, and make no mistake about it, it's been all about timing with him. He picks them at the right time, that is the only reason he has victories over some of the greats on his list, timing. But, to say that Pac is a cherry picker? Bull*hit! He's fought all the best on the way up, and fought everyone there was to fight, even moving up to fighting full blown middleweights.

The only thing that can be said with a shred of truth to it, is that in this last campaign they didn't take the best match-up, they took the best draw, which could turn out to be a great fight anyways. The people most folks want to see him fight are Andre Berto or JMM. Marquez at this point, just wouldn't be the challenge for Pac that he was at one time, and isn't much of a draw. Berto doesn't have a resume that suggests in any way that he even belongs in the same ring as Pacquiao, and still is not a draw. So what were they to do? They found the biggest star they could to put against him, and Mosley has a better chance than people are giving him, even at 39.

I agree. The Cotto fight was the deal-breaker for Floyd. I don't think the Hatton KO really scared him too much because he did the same thing, but when he saw Pac destroy the guy that he ducked, he made up his mind that he didn't want any part of Pac.

                greatest thread ever made.

I agree with everything you said TS.

This thread should be bumped everyday so people can read it and shut da **** up about Floyd-Pac

I changed it so it's less of a biased against Floyd.
I agree with you Manny should of just accepted the terms, then we might of had a fight...might of.

The main point is correct, it was correct before even if I disagree with some of the editorializing.

pac's biggest mistake was not calling floyd's bluffs early on. floyd would have found a way to weasel out of the fight. pac is correcting it now. as for floyd, i don't see any change in his stance. it's not the picture of a man trying to make the fight happen. he can't do it for the love of the sport, for the fans, for the money, or for the heck of it.

i wanted to believe boxers would eventually fight if pushed into it just to save face. he's still young, he still have money left and more money coming for one fight. doens't matter who he fights. he hasn't realized the repercussions when he grows old.
