The defendants responded to the lawsuit by asking the judge to dismiss it, saying their statements were merely opinions. A federal judge disagreed, and the case will now go forward.

I guarantee, Pacquiao will not win this court case, he has nothing at all. Pacfans think that because the court refused to dismiss the case, it means something, it means nothing. Just means more money for the court, nothing is gonna come out of this. If anything, something bad can happen to Pacquiao's career.
Obsessed Mayweather haters like to ignore the facts and assume Pac fighting in a court room rather than a ring is a good thing.....

its OK though, we all NOW know who really wanted to fight from the get go and it didn't involve a court room.

Its the same with most trials , they always try and dismiss it first cab of the rank ,, means nothing its just a lets not waste time and money proving or disproving comments that boil down at the end of the day to being only professional opinions ,,,, what case are they proving , that in their opinion Pac is on something , they asked him to prove otherwise for 50 mill and Pac didnt wanna do it , the Mayweathers are not the only ones that think Pac is very su****ious , I dont think they can win a prosecution off a professional for giving his personal opinion when a reporter asks him for it .

Again this shows how much much Pac really wants the fight he could have proved he is not a drugs cheat the honorable way , he would rather sue them than take a test and fight them in the ring ,,, what a plastic wuss Pac has turned into .

Imagine the irony, if Manny wins a massive payout against Mayweather and the only way Floyd, uncle Roger and his Dad can repay it is to face him in the ring (effectively for free). Oh and GBP is forced to promote it for free.

Pacquiao actually has a decent case. Not great, but decent. And, Petrocelli, his attorney, is damned good. I've had cases against his firm O'Melveny & Myers many times before. Mayweather and Co., should be concerned. Floyd's dad has clearly made statements that Pacquiao was on roids. Floyd Jr. has strongly implied it (like in his Rugged Man interview talking about how the "Philippines have the best steroids"--what a joke, by the way).

You clearly don't know anything about the legal system--"more money for the court"--what does that mean? Courts don't get paid by the hour or by a percentage of a claim. After the case is filed, the only fees the court collects are ministerial (like for filing a motion). They are very small.

Defamation cases are hard to win, especially if you are celebrity. However, Floyd and company were complete idiots about what they said and their motiviations were clearly malicious, so Pacquiao has a chance.

So, the Mayweathers spread all these unsupported slanderous allegations without a shred of evidence and you expect Manny to act in an honorable way?
