It was still a legit win and those making excuses for the fat bum Solis are being pathetic, but no way was it an impressive win, which was why Vitali was so angry when it finished the way it did.
With all due respect, it was recorded as a KO, it's official in Boxre*.

      destroy means destroy.

not glance the head, 4 seconds later miss over the head , then the guy

steps backwards and buckles his right knee medially injuring it

i have no prob with Vitali, but even vitali was mad the fight ended on an injury

didnt u see him run over and check on solis and see what happened????

get off your biased ridiculous opinions
I saw a delayed reaction from a punch that wasn't even that solid take a mans legs and turn them into gell-o. That's about as close to destruction as it gets.

Solis got hurt trying to bend down and avoid the punch. It's because the guy is out of shape in his daily life. You can't just goto camp and think your body will be ready for that kind of style. He was caught with the punch and people need to realize that. It's Solis's fault not Vitali's plain and simple. He might've felt like he could move around like he used to as an ametuer but his joints did'nt agree.

          Amen, it's not rocket science.

I agree, a TKO was the right call but a case could be made either way. He barely made it up at 10 and couldn't have continued even if not injured when falling awkwardly.

Vitali Takes Out Another Tomato Can; Can't Blame Him!

Just like Larry Holmes and Joe Louis had to do in their era, Vitali continues to blow thru everyone that "claims" to be a contender. No fault to him. I've always said he's the best of the Klitschko Bros, he had Lennox Lewis dead to rights before he sustained a deep cut that the ring doctor forced that fight to be stopped. David Haye has a case of Mayweather-itis, and has talked trash for two years about how he'd do this and do that to either of the Klitschko Bros, yet he WON'T fight either, so shut up! Cong**** to Vitali for blowing thru who they put in front of him. I wish they put Holyfield in there one last time to get train wrecked by Vitali so we can stop with this non-sense talk once and for all that Evander is going to regain the title. There's NO chance of that.

I watched it and Vitali did hit Solis on the temple. I'm not a Vitali or Solis fan either. Could be a dive but would think he would go down on a better punch. Vitali is a big dude and even his soft touch could be devastating because remember, we are not the ones in the ring getting hit by Vitali.

He didn't do a perfect 'bambi on ice' rendition for nothing. The Klitschko's have this kind of power. See the Wladimir-Chambers fight for another reference. Peace.
No, I didn't take the punch. Yes, I have an idea of what kind of damage it might've had. I base my opinion on having watched countless pro and amateur fights in every conceivable way, including participation in some boxing of my own.

As it turns out, there's physical evidence that the "Bambi on Ice" impression you refer to was caused, not by that "tremendous" blow Vitali landed, but by Solis's knee giving way to "tears to his anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus, as well as cartilage damage in his right knee." (As reported by ESPN.com.)

Look...Vitali won, fair and square. But you're barking up the wrong tree if you're trying to convince me that Vitali's pinky knuckle knocked Solis senseless by making contact with the top of his head. Vitali hits very hard, but he doesn't possess super powers.

Solis was lunging at Vitali kind of recklessly so a prior knee problem could have been the reason but homie did get hit in the head and that's when it happened. I'm just saying.

Teddy Atlas was picking Solis to win.

                      He's wrong 9 times out of 10.
