I have a lot to disagree with regarding this post. First off, I never heard that Paul Williams was ever being considered as an opponent for Pacquiao. Do you have any kind of link to verify this from Pacquiao's Team...

I know those are speculations but still it was being talked about. Seriously, PDub's promoter wanted Pacquiao. And I think it was doable since Dan Goossen is in good terms with Bob Arum like how the situation is with Don King. The only promoters who are hating Arum in a personal level are Lou Dibella, Gary Shaw, and Oscar De La Hoya (court cases). Dibella and Shaw, I don't get why they want it personal it is affecting their business. I understand De La Hoya with the cases but those two, I don't get it.

And the De Leon fight, I saw it differently.

This place ****in amazes me!!!!! All you muther****ers cry for someone with a warrior's mentality to show up on the scene, and enter's Paul Williams. He had a close fight with Sergio in 09, got KO'd by Sergio in 10, and wants to fight the very same guy who KO'd him in 11. That my friends is a gotdamn warrior.

You all cried like a biitch when ya'll heard he was goin back down to 147. The man just sat up here and said that he is staying at 154 and 160. THAT's what the **** ya'll cried for, and thats what he's giving us. But ya'll come on this hoe whining about how he aint give Quintana a rematch, so he dont deserve one with Sergio????????? After Berto dispatched Carlos, alot of jokers on here was downing Berto for even getting in the ring with him. And wanted to completely disregard the fact that Quintana was worthy of being Berto's opponent. Is the hate for Berto that bad(I do remember quite a few folks on here before the Berto/Quintana fight, sayin Carlos was gonna expose the hype job, like he did the Williams hypejob........***** didnt happen, then all of a sudden Quintana was never all that good to begin with and Berto needs to step up)?

So now it's oh Paul aint give Quintana a rematch so he doesn't deserve to take on the hardest challenge of his career, and the #2 P4P fighter(Thats right I got Floyd at 3 for inactivity, and after May 1st, I'll be taking him off until he makes a significant return to the ring).

So really who is an acceptable opponent for Paul now? Cintron(Aint he tryin to go to 147 to fight Berto, I dont see no hate for that *****)?????? Really who do ya'll wanna match him up with Dzinzurik???? Right, then it'll be he's fighting Sergio's leftovers or Dzinzurik is coming off of a loss, so Paul's cherry picking. Who do ya'll want this young man to fight??????? How many other fighters do we have at 154-160 that would get blown out like how Paul got, and then come back and ask for a shot at the fella who did it to him?

Bottomline, on this long ass rant is this....................Quit Hatin on Paul, he's givin ya'll EXACTLY what the **** ya'll asked for!!!!!!! He's stayin at 154 and wants the best of 154 and 160.

Man, it's like you were reading my mind. I agree with every word you said, but let me expand on one thing. How many top notch fighters have we seen in the last twenty years or so, in any weight class, not just 154-160, who suffered a loss like that and asked for a rematch in his very next fight? I can think of only Lewis and Shane.

This guy has the heart of a true champion and he deserves the rematch. I do think he will have to change his style of fighting against Martinez, but only for Martinez. His style seemed to work for all of his other fights and no one fights like Martinez, who I think has flaws that a skilled boxer will expose.
