A lot of you are so full of ****! Cotto is fighting at 154, if Martinez can make the weight then how is he too big?

Last time I checked the weight classes were there to sort out bigger guys from smaller guys. If they both fight at 154 then how can 1 fighter be bigger than another?

If Cotto is too small for 154 then thats his problem, not Martinez's

EXACTLY. Sad day for boxing when the fans are making excuses on why the fights shouldn't happen. And having weight be the issue.

On top of that, Martinez was a champion at 154 just last year. Good win for Martinez.
I never said Pac or no tighter should get credit for beating fighters in different divisons. The point is, true that Martinez was a champion at 154 just last year so he can fight Dzindziruk also at 154. He might have much credit if he challege Dzindziruk belt and become 154 champion again. Two weight division champion at the same time. Gets?

Martinez is calling out these "smaller" guys because he wants to be #1 P4P...don't people see this by now? Dude wants to be recognized as the best boxer in the world, to do this he has to beat the best boxers in the world. Floyd, Pac, and Cotto have fought in the 154 weight divisioin, so has Sergio, what's the problem?

martinez hasnt proved ****. He is garbage until he beats someone in his own weight class. That guy wasnt even a good 154 pounder. How can he be number 1 in any weight class?

I think Martinez should fight a 160lbs fighter now. Dzinziruk was coming up in weight from 154. I'm very happy for Martinez's performance last night and with the killer line up he's been facing, he deserves an easy pay day like Cotto and I understand there's no big pay days at 160. But Winky Wright at this age is an easy win[for Martinez] and a recognizable name at 160, Martinez can easily beat him at this point, he should go for Winky instead of Cotto.

My bad if I misunderstood you but Martinez made it clear that he wanted to make his home at 160. I'm guessing he moves down to 154 if the $ is right.

As anyone even consider the fact that any welter or jmw to beat martinez at 154 won't get any credit? Base on Martinez current size and his performance, ppl will complain that he was weight drained.
