      mostly American crowd, no? it's a bit harsh to give Mexican crowds the rap for that since it was held in Calif.

      I think boxing was the real loser with the booing, it didn't look good for a sport where two fighters went the distance, they should show respect for two men who were prepared to get hurt for their entertainment.

      That said, I doubt Matt will be sweating it. When they booed Ricky he thought it was funny, I'd imagine they'll have a sense of humour about it. To some degree it comes with the territory of fighting in an opponent's territory.

          You'd be pretty safe in assuming that about 90% of the crowd was Mexican. I've been to plenty of fights in So Cal so I know what I speak of.

              We have to go through the pain of watching Matthew Hatton have competitive fights with bums over here in the UK time and time again and we complain about how **** he is then he comes over to America and for no reason gets a title shot Vs. a 20 year old kid and get's beaten up for 12 rounds including falling over for no apparent reason every now and then and low and behold;

              He gains a fanbase

              Just amazing.

                  Fair enough brother, I defer to your first hand knowledge. Even tho the 'Mexican' crowd didn't give him respect, it's good to see Canelo had some kind words for him post-fight in commending his bravery.

                    Not harsh at all. Cali is full of Mexicans. It's like their second home.
