    the problem most of you guys have is you think the pound 4 pound rankings are some concrete titles that you win and you get to hold that title until you lose or whatever. It's also not necessarily entirely resume based.

    It's simply who you think are the best fighters pound 4 pound in order from 1 to 10.

    So the ring currently thinks, pound 4 pound, donaire is slightly better than martinez. That's it!

    That's literally all there is to it. In that regard I agree with the Ring 100%. I believe Donaire is more talented of a fighter than Martinez, pound 4 pound. Now you can argue who has the better resume, ok go ahead. Doesn't change ****. If the pound 4 pound list was resume based Carl Froch would be #2 or #3 right now, not donaire or martinez.

Not to mention Martinez won fighter of the year/knock out of the year, robbed twice in one fight, on the short end of the Williams fight because he was the lesser name, stripped of his hard earned titles to make a mexican fraud a champ, dudes just getting disrespected all around. Nonito should be in the P4P list and Im a big fan but Nonito stops Montiel and now some people want to bump Martinez down? I seen Montiel get beat by fucking Z Gorres. HBO listed Rafael Concepcion as a notable win for fucks sake!!! the equivalent of Alex Bunema!! Give credit where its due foos.....

        Its subjective.

        You can look at it this way.

        Total = 50% Resume + 50% Skills perception

        on a 10 pts must system

        Resume

        Martinez = 10 X 50% = 50
        Donairre = 9 X 50% = 45

        Skills

        Martinez = 8.5 X 50% = 42.5
        Donaiire = 10 X 50% = 50

        TOTAL

        Martinez = 50 + 42.5 = 92.5%
        Donairre = 45 + 50 = 95 %

        ========

        Its subjective everybdoy can have their own formula.

        BTW i Rank Martinez ahead of Donairre.

          hey, a loss is a loss, its official
          if the winner get point the loser get nothing officially
          thats the way p4p ranks work.

                I think he's got good movement and elite quickness. Not a bad punch for a guy that started at WW either.

                10-8.5?

                Get out of here.

                  Pavlik is a alcoholic bum and hes 1-1 against Pwill. Donaire just beat the unified BW champ in 2 rounds. Donaire deserves it over Martinez.

                    Im sorry but losses and draws dont add to anybodies stock. Isnt it weird how he came into #7 P4P after coming off a loss and a draw and beating a far from ranked opponent in Pavlik?
                    Vic Darchynian was ranked on what? You dont mean P4P do you? because he only came on the P4P list after he beat Mijares and Arce.

                      I think you got that messed up my Pinoy friend. Pavlik is an alcoholic former MW champ. Something than a Pinoy will never accomplish because they don't make you guys taller than 5'6". Williams is the bum that went 1-1 vs. Martinez.
