No montiel you weren't dominating the 2nd round, as nonito was dominating the first minute of that round. If you want to see a lucky ko, you should just look back on your fight with hasegawa.
Your an idiot, I was screaming for Nonito to win, but even I knew that Montiel was doing OK in the second. Im not saying he won the round, but he wasn't doing bad at all.. You dont know **** if you cant see that he was trying to time Nonito and he was measuring distance also. He still got hit and KTFO but dont come on hear talking shyte. He gave props to Nonito for kicking his azz so how can you hate on him for that?

montiel got owned bigtime by donaire, the fight was too lopsided for them to have a rematch!

I like montiel, but he's taking credit away from nonito's win. Him saying that he was dominating the 2nd round is an over statement. Montiel couldn't handle donaire's speed or power despite being 8 pounds heavier coming in. If he was fully accepting the loss he would be looking for the mistakes he made instead of looking for his successes. Even though montiel was landing more in the 2nd, most of the punches were a jab. Everything else besides a left uppercut were glancing shots. Donaire however landed clean whenever he connected and he landed a variety of power shots.

It shows he has balls and is willing to accept that he was beaten by a better man that night and is happy to move on from this.

I always said from the start that Nonito will knock him out before 10 rounds (only 8 rounds off LOL) and I always wanted Nonito to win, but in losing, Montiel has just earned himself another fan, he has huge heart and is a classy dude.

Good luck to this dude in the future, I hope he comes back strong.

kudos to that. This guy came out and said, hey he hit me harder than anyone else and i tried but couldn't continue. He is very honest in saying that the stoppage was correct and he knew that he could not continue but he tried. I gives this guy all the credit in the world for even beating the 10 count. The way he was hit most guys would be asleep for the next two rounds. That shows that he has the warriors mentality and even especially the conditioning to get up. Big props to him even though he lost.
