Then say: The Philippine media doen't deserve him instead of the whole country or the whole pinoy race.

How hard would it be to say that?

    • Do we blame the whole Chinese race for putting MSG on their foods?
    • Do we blame Americans for having too much fat and calories on every dang McDonald's Big mac?
    • Do we blame the American citizens for the American troops invading Iraq?
    • Do we blame the Ref's race on not stopping the Montiel fight asap when he should have stopped it when Montiel quivered?
    • Do we blame the whole Australian populace for Julian Assange's wikileaks?

We can go on and on...the Philippine media is less than 0.00001% of the 91 million Filipinos' population.

    I am a Filipino-American...do I like what I hear, hell no...but at least don't make a blanket statement.

I wouldn't even reply or care if you said THE PHILIPPINE MEDIA IS A BIATCH.

don't understand what that guy is thinking...he despises the Philippine media for something he's guilty of. he said the media is disgusting and hypocritical and that's exactly what he just did.

        Again?

None Filipinos wont understand this issue so better stay out of it. but if you want to be educated on the matter, let me state a few things to ponder.

        - When their Parents get old, Filipinos will take care of their parents, They could hire someone and just supervise or in many cases do it themselves if they are not financially capable. In the US Old people stays in paid institutions.

        - Filipinos can stay in their parents house as long as they like and Yes even if they are married most parents would let them live in their house with their spouses. In the US the limit is 18 yrs.

        - Most Parents would pay for everything you need as long as you're staying in their house. Food, clothes, Money for dates, Cars ( If they can afford it) in fact anything as long as their finances would allow it.

This matter is a BIG BIG Deal for Filipinos. So any outsider yapping ****** things is like

A Harry Potter fanboy criticizing Luke Skywalker for fighting Darth Vader.

In the US, the cycle of life goes like this:

Parents raise kids till they reach 18 > Kids live their own lives without parental involvement > Parents are on their own until they die

In the Philippines, it goes like this:

Parents support their kids as long as they can > Kids involve parents in their lives > Kids support their parents until they die

I'm not saying that it's better for Pinoys, but the simple fact is that here, you will never be alone as long as you have your family.

So the philipino boxing fans dont deserve Donaire because some dumb , hypocrite , exaggerating journalist decided to publish a story about Donaire not having the best of relationships with his father.

It was the media. Since when does the media do anything taking into considering the good or bad that might come from it.

Get ur head out of ur ass u fkn idiot.

                  LOL

                  What?

I made 2 statements about the US

                  1. Old people stays in paid institutions and not in their kids home.
                  2. at 18 Americans usually goes on their own and out of their parents house.

Is this a horrible generalization? Whats the reality then?

That was like 1 article. And I first saw that posted here. I never saw that it reached mainstream media in the PI.. lolz. It was a cultural thing and I doubt you ( unless you are pinoy ) would understand that.

Pinoys in general ( those not boxing fans in general ) tune in when he fights. Outside of that, they know he has a hot wife who posed in a men's ****zine here. Other than that, I doubt they cared.
