Theres a lot of great talent on the horizon in terms of black boxers. Its just that there has been a big drift away from the sport.

Look at guys like Sadam Ali, Kevin Hoskins etc.

Bradley and Alexander are amazing prospects and there are many out there wo will have looked at and learned from floyd's mistakes.

Floyd is still the biggest draw of his time.

Black people are like any other group of people: they differ in opinions and preferences. They don't necessarily like fighters just because they're black - people would support a black boxer if they lived up to all of the other qualities they admire in a fighter.

There are a couple of good black American fighters, but maybe not enough for everyone to find a fighter they like and get behind him.

For example, obviously not all black people like Floyd, but there is no other black fighter at that level and notoriety to get behind to create a rivalry among black fans as to who is the best.

When I was in Vegas for Judah/Mayweather and Mayweather/Mosley there was a great atmosphere because you had two totally differing styles and personalities going head-to-head. Different people could find a reason to root or either guy based on the qualities of a fighter. people said black ppl don't buy tickets but both those events were majority black customers, great boxing atmosphere, and made $$.

americans for the most part don't support boxing anymore period. (black american yellow american white american green american)

only a flaming ****** would even think americans have been into boxing after the past 10 years.

when MMA basketball football & soccer took off americans poured into those sports.

look at the bradley & alexander fight. both are good fighters but aren't gonna make any real money because of the ticket sales. thats because americans don't care about our boxers anymore. (americans have been outside of boxing for about 15 years now) yet ******s think americans are still into the sport....

i love boxing but the truth is the truth....

unless the american fighter isn't A mega star on his own (like floyd mayweather) he won't be able to make any real money off of the american public, no matter how good he is. americans just don't care for boxing anymore.

back when americans supported boxing you seen all sorts of talents. the sport was ruled by american fighters. thats because the more money you can make in a sport the more talent & ATG's you're gonna come across & see.

the american public have been outside of boxing for about 15 years now.

Black people support the hell out of Basketball though. Wonder why... It's just the fact they don't care about it anymore. Thanks to Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan for really starting the craze of African-American basketball players. And thanks to Kobe and Lebron for keeping the interest alive. If (Though it will probably never happen) basketball started being taken over by other races, the next big African-American athlete in whatever other sport will lead the people there. Imagine Venus and Serena making tennis popular in the African-American communities (HAH!).

But wait until they get a real good white-American boxer. Arena's will sell out

Your absolutely right. Boxing used to be a mainstream sport among African Americans, and Americans in general, but it just isn't anymore. Which is why your seeing few and fewer African American fighters, at all weights, and fans, although they've always been more likely to watch broadcasted sporting events then to attend them in person.

its funny how nothing but *******s make a comment about floyd being a diva but your god is much worst and floyd still makes more money than him.

secondly. who cares what race supports whats. peope have a personal choice for what they like, dislike and will pay their money for.

what the **** is up with all this race ****. and everytime it comes up, its about blacks. you clowns are obsessed with black. get over it
