This has to be one of the most ridiculous rhetoric I heard in a long time. Manny fighting FLoyd's scraps. That can be easily turned around. Floyd fought Manny's scraps by havinng Marquez come up two weight classes and came in over the contractual weight. Floyd fought Mosley's scraps by fighting De La Hoya. Floyd fought Baldomir's scraps by fighting Judah. You see how ****** that sounds. So once a fighter lose he should just retire? Since he has lost he is not the same fighter? Floyd once said a fighter is not the same after I beat them. How? It's not like he mauled them or brutally devastated them. He is a technical fighter is defense oriented. Don't get me wrong he is excellent at what he do but its like saying fighters are not the same when thry fight Willie Pep or Pernell Whitaker. Plus Manny is fighting guys that Floyd refused to fight. And this weight drained nonsense, ok lets go down the list.....When Manny fought Oscar let the record show that Oscar challenged Manny. The 147 was the completely fair. Oscar had to come down 2 weight classes and Manny had to come 2 weight classes so how is that unfair. If Oscar couldn't make the weight then he shouldn't challenged him. Was Hatton weight drained when he fought Hatton at his preferred weight. Hatton was undefeated at 140 and Manny starched him. How about the Cotto fight? Before cotto fought Manny the heaviest Cotto ever came in at welterweight was 146 so they agreed to weigh in at 145. Welterweight is between 141-147. Now the Margarito fight shouldn't have been for the title. Anyways how is Margarito coming in at 151 or 150 pounds weight draining. Majority of Margarito's career he has fought at welterweight and dominated as champ for 6 years and this was the second time in his career he fought above welterweight. So this actually benefitted Tony not Manny. You see I'm going to five this man his due. For the last 10 years he has fought consistently fought top quality opposition. Now with the people that hates him I guarantee if he was American or had the face of "real American" this would not be an issue and would be considered on of the all time greats. But since all the hate is out there they are going to nit pick and magnify his "faults". Saying he has fought a drained fighter or fighter that has been beaten before. Ask his opponents if thats the way they feel. Because none of them has complained once about the weight being and issue or they see themselves as half beaten broken fighters. just the haters.

Threads like this are why I feel Floyd fans are the worst in boxing.

Both Floyd and Manny are top fighters in the same division, so of course they will end up fighting the same people.

It happened with Hearns and Leonard, Ali and Frazier, Barrera and Morales, Trinidad and De La Hoya and so on and so on.

I know there are several good Floyd fans but the majority are complete trash. The day Floyd gets beat or retires will be a great day for boxing.

Floyds legacy is so lacking they have to make things up and ways to make him look better. Him beating opponents before pac beat them is how low *****s go now.

That doesn't make any sense. Mayweather never fought Cotto, Margarito, or Clottey. Also Mayweather never even hurt De La Hoya in their fight, it went to a not so eventfull split decision. That is like saying Floyd fought Manny's scraps in Marquez since Manny beat him then Floyd made him jump up two weight classes to fight him. It's no secret that Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach waits for fighters to be ruined before letting Pac fight them, but this is getting ridiculous.

First Floyd defeats Oscar handily and right after Manny swoops into fight him.

Then he DESTROYS Hatton and leaves him a shell of his former self in the most brutal KO of the year (which may or may not have caused Ricky's well documented stuggles with obesity and drug abuse) only for Manny to set up a fight with the broken man right after.

And now he's preparing to fight Shane "My tooth hurts and i need a vacation" Mosley, the same man who Floyd just decimated for 12 rounds straight less than 8 months ago.

It's facts like these that make me think Team Pacquiao are a group of cowards who refuse to face fighters at their peak. While Floyd steps up like the champion he is and faces these fighters while they're still threats, Manny plays the background until Floyd softens them up for him. That's not how great fighters operate which is why Floyd is looked at as the greatest fighter of his era while Pacquiao and his mouth piece Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach will be forgotten about in 10 years.

Sure.....just as Mayweather was reduced to fighting a Mosley that was DLH's scaps and a DLH who was Hopkins' scraps, and.........WAIT, A JMM WHO WAS PAC's SCRAPS, and an Arturro Gatti who was Micky Ward's scraps......I could keep going on and on.

Cotto could have been Floyd's scraps too but Floyd was to bushleague to even fight him and retired instead.
