Eventually people starting taking these tidbits as fact especially online, which leads to more widespread to belief in their reality which leads to more writer writing about such topics because that is what readers want to hear.

All The Ring or any publication has is its credibility, Oscar owning the Ring already creates doubt but if they were shills for Oscar no one would respect them at all thus completely making it worthless and it doesn't seem like that is the case or a desired outcome for minor propaganda purposes. Your Mike Tyson arguement is ridiculous. Not only is making sure your opponent is clean a fair and reasonable demand, but like Floyd, Mike actually requested that Holyfield undergo stricter drugs tests both times they fought.

That's a far more realistic demand than paying 10 million dollars for every pound a fighter comes in overweight, which Floyd agreed to without any problem. Unlike Manny, he's actually willing to make sacrifices to get this fight done for the fans.

You should learn what a promoters job entails.

You're forgetting that Floyd fought De La **** at his actual weight. He didnt steal the fight by making him cut down to a weight that he hadn't fought at in over a decade.

You know as well as i do that Shane was looked at as a serious threat when Floyd fought him. He was coming off his Margarito win which reinvigorated his career and most boxing heads thought he could give both Floyd and Pac a good fight.

When rumors we're spreading that Team Pacquiao was ducking him it was Floyd who stepped up and took the fight. Needless to say, Floyd dominated him for 12 rounds, and now that he's a little softer and there's a little less spring in his step, Team Pacquiao is ready to fight him.

It's no secret that Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach waits for fighters to be ruined before letting Pac fight them, but this is getting ridiculous.

First Floyd defeats Oscar handily and right after Manny swoops into fight him.

Then he DESTROYS Hatton and leaves him a shell of his former self in the most brutal KO of the year (which may or may not have caused Ricky's well documented stuggles with obesity and drug abuse) only for Manny to set up a fight with the broken man right after.

And now he's preparing to fight Shane "My tooth hurts and i need a vacation" Mosley, the same man who Floyd just decimated for 12 rounds straight less than 8 months ago.

It's facts like these that make me think Team Pacquiao are a group of cowards who refuse to face fighters at their peak. While Floyd steps up like the champion he is and faces these fighters while they're still threats, Manny plays the background until Floyd softens them up for him. That's not how great fighters operate which is why Floyd is looked at as the greatest fighter of his era while Pacquiao and his mouth piece Freddie "The Joke Coach" Roach will be forgotten about in 10 years.
