A question to all of the Black,RIcan,Asian

I am white , and I have to say I think he is overrated and I don't like him.

I hate marciano..Why? Mainly because he was just an over rated white guy who had some power and some good conditioning, but no real skills.

I guess other white's hold him in high regard? I certianly don't.

Also, there is just something about him, I don't know what, that I can't get behind.

Kinda like hatton, I hate the way Hatton looks, thus I could never be a fan .

ect ect ect memebers of this Forum.I know what whites will say so i am asking you.How many of you believe Marciano is more skilled than a prime Tyson,Foreman, or Frazier?How many of you believe a 180 pound small cruiserweight like Marciano who was knocked down by Archie Moore a natural middleweight could handle Foremans,Tysons,Lewis,Tuas,or Bowes punching Power?And how many of you think a 180 pound fighter like Maricano could knock out Tyson,Foreman,or Tua?
Just curious i just joined the ******** boxing forum and just about every member thought Marciano was more skilled than the fighters i named and that he could take all of their punches and he could knock them all out in one round.I just want to see what people of color thought about this.

Marciano was a great fighter, not because he was white but because he was a great fighter. who the **** cares about race when picking fighters?? it just makes you seem racist by asking people to compare good black fighters against a good white one.

People confuse dancing with skill, just because Marciano was an agressive fighter and didnt dance around like Ali doesnt means he's unskilled. You only have to see how he worked fighters down with his methodical style and great head movement.

Another thing about the race - wasnt Marciano Italian, thats not white where i come from.

Answer me a simple question -

Is it easier to fight on the inside or outside??

Alot of people dont know this but when Rocky was champ he was allowed to go from pro to amatuer and back in order to make extra cash and during his reign as pro champ he was actually beaten while dropping to amatuer for this reason.however this did not affect his pro record.

well to be honest Rocky is overrated just like all white heavyweights when they get the spotlight we all know this but hey if they want to have a guy to look up to then i guess you can't fault them for that......but he was not the greatest and he is not as good as people make him out to be prime Mike could break anybody........and i highly doubt he could even be Lennox Lewis

I will give Marciano credit for being the one fighter who made the most out of the little he had.
But, I certainly don't rate him amongst the Alis & Louis-es of the heavyweaight division, & even less so amongst the lb4lbers.
He is overrated by non-hardcore fans....especially Italian-Americans. He is perhaps a little underrated by hardcore fans, however.
There's a lot of backlash against him, because of the general public's love of him. While most of the criticism of him by fight people is legit, some people are too adamant about it.

I still rank Ali, Foreman, Dempsey, Louis, Frazier, and maybe even Lennox Lewis over Marciano. I think all these fighters, even Tyson, Holyfield, and Roy at Heavy would beat him convincingly. Def not top 5.
