Im talking about in 07 when your boy was asked about Cotto and he told Merchant like a ***** that i want to retire from boxing i dont want boxing to retire me. When the announcers asked Cotto about Floyd Cotto said he is a boxer who avoids fighting the best and that he cant make him fight. This was the time when the fight was ripe to make money and wanted by the fans not when Cotto was at 140 and everyone who followed boxing knows that. This is just like Pac with Floyd sr and jr talking about how easy a fight it would be and then saying they fear for lil Floyds life and avoid the fight at all costs.

Tell me this NY123, do you really feel Cotto had a chance against Mayweather at any point in his career?

Do you realize that Cotto had HORRENDOUS footwork before Manny Steward was hired?

Do you realize that Cotto lost to Margarito and Pac because his head movement is almost non existent and his offense is overly predictable?

How would/is that type of fighter ever going to beat a fundamentally sound (offensively and defensively) hall of famer like Mayweather?

When he was prime before Margarito he would have been Floyds toughest test yet. With his jab and power and the fact that he does well against guys with low workrates and who dont apply steady pressure it would have made for a great fight. Mayweather is extremely talented and he would have been up against it though. Thats what makes Floyd such a ***** he has the talent to be the best and he is still scared for his life against guys he should probably beat.

After he fought Oscar and Hatton Cotto was next in line and was the fight the fans wanted and the fight that would generate the most money. Mayweather retired or went on vacation or whatever you want to call it. As far a Cotto being shook in the video he has that same emotionless look all the time. I'm gonna ask you a question and only ask you be honest. You are in floyds place. Bob tells you he can't get you 8 for Cotto. Which would you do:

a) fight cotto (1 fight at ww) for $8 mil then Margarito (wbo champ) for $8 mil or

b) buy out your contract for $750k then fight Baldomir (undisputed ww champ) for $8 mil then ODH (for 154 lb champ) for $25 mil?

Floyd had already retired or went on vacation when he knew that Cotto was the next fight he had to take. Reminds me of what he is doing now with Pac another "easy fight".
