    You're right.

To add to that... Caps are also very discipline oriented. They believe in doing things the hard way (which equates to them as the right way).

Bernard Hopkins is a perfect example of that.

Bernard professes that he doesn't drink, smoke, party, etc... He's also a student of the game and seems to cherish the old school fighters like Hagler, Brisco and Archie Moore.

He's 45 years old and still fighting competitively.

Are we SERIOUSLY discussing the attributes of professional fighters based on an arbitrary system of reading equally arbitrary qualities ascribed to arbitrary groups of stars!?

Muhammad Ali was born on January 17th so obviously this must be an au****ious day for boxers. Like this guy:

This must be true because he shares his birthday with Kent Hovind, that well known fighter... He's so disciplined he's currently serving a ten-stretch for tax fraud!

What I find interesting is that none of those 3 signs make for great fighters. All of them get dominated by Earth and some water signs for the most part.

The best fighters are usually Capricorns(Ali, Foreman, Hopkins), Virgos(James Toney, Lennox Lewis, Kostya Tszyu) and Cancers(Vitali Klitschko, Tyson, Dempsey). What's funny is that all 3 signs are feminine signs.

I believe astrology matters at the highest level. I think a perfect astrological fight was Ortiz vs Maidana. the most powerful water sign just completely overwhelms a more technical, better but weaker water sign.

For example, it would be extremely difficult for you to find a Pisces or Aquarian all time great because they are usually the weaker signs of the zodiac.

          anyone?
Aries is not the most powerful . neither is scorpio.... your ascendant sign will determine that as well as house placement of the sun and mars.. and both of their aspects.

Aries is the rawest aggression, being that its the first sign of the year.. spring equinox.... Scorpio is the more indrect and cunning version of mars. but neither are the most "powerful" signs.

Aquarius is in detriment , there are barely any great aquarian fighters but it terms of team sports they are great. Victor Ortiz is an Aquarius... they lack the inner will to withstand a lot of hardship...

the best fighters are earth signs by far... and feminine signs , dont mean geminine in the gender, *** sense it means more receptive than projecting.. Earth signs are down to earth... so naturally they can stick it out and stay on track for the long haul.

Cancer Asc put Aries on the 10th house/MC ..these are great fighters .

A Malefic aspect Saturn also can make someone hard working, and brutal feeling they have much to over come and needing a channel to use that energy.

Pisces Neptune is the martyr, As we seen with nate campell and chris Arreola... they are sensitive but dont mind going to hell and back in a fight only to lose... even though they lost they like the kudos given because of the punishment they toook.. Shannon briggs has mars in pisces.. very low vitality and and self assertion but another martyr aspect it also square his sun in sagittarius.

Who the heck said all Capricorns are athletes? LOL! My God.

Anyway, Capricorns are all about business and finances, so the fact that Ken Hovind went to jail for tax fraud fits in with something a Capricorn would try.

            Thanks for the example.

Find me a broke Capricorn with no business sense or savvy and you'll impress me.

Find me an Aquarius that doesn't rebel against rules and I'll be really impressed.

Good info - but do any research on the web, local bookstore, etc regarding astrology and SCORPIO is always considered the most powerful of all the signs.

Whether you agree with it or not is one thing, but the popular belief amongst astrologers is that Scorpio is the most powerful.

I've never liked astrology. Anything that predetermines the qualities of a person based solely on their date of birth, IMO, is BS. How do you account for all these fighters who never really made it anywhere in boxing, but have all the astrological signs in their favor to be a great fighter?

                  to address someone's question earlier,

The most important aspects in a natal chart to break down a fighter are the following 3 aspects.

Sun sign: this determines who you are inside. Your will, heart and combustible energy inside. I made a thread about all the hardest punchers in boxing and they are either cancer or virgo because of this reason. Inner combustible energy. This alone does not make them great fighters. All great fighters need to be strong in all 3 aspects ideally. If any of the 3 has a detriment then you will see serious flaws in the fighter at the highest level of boxing/fighting. That is why you rarely see top fighters with Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio and Pisces in their sun.

sign in Mars: This is the planet of war. it determines your stamina your method of destruction and your breakdown of your opponent. If your mars is in libra like Chad Dawson and Jean Pascal, your energy is going to be fluctuated early and fade late. Hopkins walked Pascal down. If your mars is in capricorn like Manny Pacquiao, you are going to have consistent relentless energy the entire fight.

Ascending sign: I would argue that this is the single most important aspect in fighting. ascending sign is who you project onto others. it is the sign that most people would guess you as. it has to do with your physical build, your muscular definition and physical speed, power and flexibility. It has to do with what you dish out and how you assert yourself in a fight. I believe the half man half horse, saggitarian is the best ascending sign to have as an athlete period. most professional athletes have this aspect actually.

Once again, i believe astrology matters at the highest level only when skills and genetics become too close to call.

not everyone finds their calling. I mean we can find people who are extremely naturally athletic that was never brought up to be an athlete. and people who are extremely naturally intelligent that work at radioshack. **** like this happens all the time.

boxing history is a selection of a random large pool with millions of participants and that is a pretty large sample pool to draw proof from.

in any boxing ATG list you will find that earth signs are over-represented at the highest level and these signs are under-represented, pisces, aquarius, scorpio and leo.

Because there's more to it than just astrology. Astrology is just one component out of many that deserve consideration. Other things to consider are GENETICS, SPIRITUALITY, AGE, IQ LEVEL, BACKGROUND, CULTURE, etc...

Astrology does not work like this "I'm a Capricorn and so was Ali, so I'm automatically the best ever".

This would be a little closer to how Astrology can work: "I hate being the center of attention, why is that?"

Asrology can help you understand yourself a little bit better, but it doesn't predetermine anything.
