Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez: I'll Knock Pacquiao Out, Total Destruction

I can understand that not everyone have to be a fan of manny but how could u hate the guy? Manny has never brag about his wins or how he knocked his opponent out. Manny has never trashed talk any of his opponents. Before and after each of his fight he always makes it clear that he respect his opponent. How do u hate a guy like manny? Some of u guys are so caught up in your own hatred towards him that u guy are not even thinking about manny's own personal health! Can manny beat a bigger skilled fighter like martinez? Heck yea! But i can guarantee u it wont be easy. Think about his health 10-15yr down the line if he continue to fight bigger guys and continue to take the punishment. People will never be satisfy, Grow the fuuck up!

It's simply not plausible. Arum and Roach can talk all they want....they will never let Pac get in the ring with MArtinez.
Basically, if pac wins ... he drained.
If sergio wins, pac was too small.
Not a win-win situation.

Fortune and Fame are at 147. It would be a great fight for the sport of boxing.

a bit of caution on Martinez
Martinez had two wonderful . . break out fights in 2010. However, its too early to be "overboard with this guy". Pavlik was not looking good and his form was far from great prior to fight Martinez . . and P Williams, as indicated by Jeff Mayweather wasn't really optimizing his advantages in height and reach, and his defense was suspect albeit he's a great volume puncher, so a good counter-puncher will eventually expose that weakness on Williams.
Certainly, we don't want to diminish those two strong opponents by Martinez, but we have to manage expectations. Extrapolating this two victories to say Martinez now has the number on Mayweather and Pacquiao . . is under-estimating these two greats who have been in countless wars and in the face of adversity have shown what made them the best in their generation. Again, too early to over-state Martinez . . i believe he wants to get his payday. He only got paid $1m fighting Williams vs Margarito who fought Pacquiao and may potentially earn $5m - $6m (based on the added compensation from Pay-per-view buys) . . that is what Martinez and his promoters are chasing, big returns! (i.e. he better be sure what he is wishing for . . he may just get it and it may bite on his face big time e.g. like a KO from either the money man or pacmonster).

this is a bad move for pac if he loses to martinez mayweather will always go down in history as the better fighter, pacs best choice should be to wait for mayweather and not get into anymore wars because that exactly wht mayweather wants.
