Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez: I'll Knock Pacquiao Out, Total Destruction

WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez had recently put down a challenge to Manny Pacquiao, who holds the WBC title at 154-pounds, and the WBO title at 147-pounds. Martinez believes Pacquiao is too small for the two of them fight, but if Pacquiao plans to defend his WBC title - then Martinez will move down to challenge him for the belt. On November 13, Pacquiao won the vacant title by winning a twelve round decision over Antonio Margarito. The title became vacant after Martinez moved up to 160-pounds to beat Kelly Pavlik for the middleweight crown in April.

You are a jerk for showing off just because you had one visually impressive win.

this would be a good fight

martniez keeps his hands very low and with mannys speed it could turn out to be a great fight

One visually impressive win? You've only seen one Martinez fight right?

Agreed, it likely would be a great fight! However, Manny really might be a bit too small for him. Not so much the height, but the natural size. As the saying goes "A good big fighter beats a good small fighter". Or something like that
I'd like to see it, as I'm a fan of both, but it would really be playing with fire by Manny. Martinez vs Mayweather(if he can fight in the foreseeable future), would be more like it. I think that would be a great fight as well. Martinez would really push Floyd, at the very least...

Well one spectacular looking win, against an opponent anyone cares about!
Sergio, dont talk about Pac anyway. Floyd needs an opponent. Pac has just fought so if anything Floyd would be your next opponent.

i dont get it how these guys think fighting a much smaller fighter and beating him them makes them pound for pound king! fight a few divisions north not south of your division to gain respect. david haye beating pacquiao doesnt make him the lb 4 lb best fighter...these guys need to work for that title not just beat 1 man and think it's theirs especially when they are fighting a much smaller man......earn the title and the respect dont think you just take it with 1 fight

I love it, and hopefully after Pac vs Mosley, this fight happens. Keep it up Sergio because Manny doesn't back down from challenges and this will actually be a very close fight (I favor Sergio BTW).
