This is more of interesting fight than most are giving it credit for. To everyone thinking that Kahn's rapid fire combo's is gonna deter Maidana, ya'll better think again. Kahn's gonna have to hurt Maidana and he's not gonna be able to do that off his back foot. There is a very high probability that Maidana catches Amir during one of his flurries(I say that because I believe Freddie is gonna have Amir approach Marcos in a Pac like fashion, in and out with multiple angles). Once you dent a chin it only gets weaker, in never gets stronger. Amir has a beautiful jab. But I haven't seen anybody point out that he leaves it out far too long. He also has a bad habit of dropping his back hand when he throws single shots. If Amir leaves that jab out or admires his work too long, or drops that back hand. We might end up witnessing the END of Amir's Boxing career.

Maidana believes he is going to win. Most of Khan fights have been against canned opposition where you could see they did not fancy the job. The last time time Khan went in with someone who truly believed they would win was Prescott. Khan is going to have to do a lot to earn Maidana's respect because beating Khan has feel easier than beating Ortiz. Madaina is going to want Khan to pay for the way he has been messed around and in his mind is fighting a protected spoiled brat. The first rounds are going to be critical . right now mentally Madaina has the edge.

And something else I saw in the Kahn/Malignaggi fight was (I don't know how else to explain this but) Kahn was trying to rush in with a one/two (ala Pac) it almost looked like an younger Pacquiaou move. I think he was trying to emulate some of Mannys earlier moves which I thought he looked pretty awkward doing, and it's quite dangerous for him too. If he tries that move against Maidana he better move a whole lot quicker doing it then he did against Paulie. Anybody else notice it?

As for Khan's chin, it wasn't dented, he didn't go through a war with Prescott, he just got KTFO. His chin was never that great, and hopefully it is better at 140 where the weight is not as hard for him.
