Doug Fischer: "Whitaker & JCC are the best of the last two decades, NOT Floyd & Pac"

    from Dougie's Friday mailbag
    Posted Jul. 30, 2010 at 02:55am

"When fans and boxing writers say Mayweather and Pacquiao are hands down the two best fighters of the last 20-25 years, I roll my eyes. Whitaker and Chavez were in their pound-for-pound primes in the late 1980s and early 1990s if memory serves me right."

Chavez doesn't belong in the conversation with Sweet Pea, Pac, or Floyd.

Whitaker may be better than both, though, I wouldn't disagree with that.

Doug Fisher is right. JCC and Whitaker >> Pac and Floyd.

JCC and Pea fought a lot of guys back in their decade and i think i would slightly agree with Doug.

                    I agree with Fischer

And what really seperates JCC and Whitaker from Floyd and Pacman is that JCC and Whitaker actually fought each other when they were both P4P #1 AND #2 unlike Floyd and Pac.
