Vitali vs Brock? It may happen

Klitschko now honing in on Calvin Brock!
    By G. Leon
July 01, 2005 - Foruntately, Oleg Maskaev appears to be out of the Vitali Klitschko mix. The new frontrunner to challenge for Klitschko's WBC heavyweight championship on September 24, is undefeated up and comer Calvin Brock. Brock is certainly a step up from Maskaev, but with fights like James Toney, Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster and the Rahman-Barrett winner out there, boxing fans still have reason to be disappointed with Big Brother. We will continue to keep you updated so stay tuned to our front page at all times. (11:25 AM)

Acceptable but still disputable that he is avoiding Rahman like the bubonic plaque.

Calvin outboxes him and steals his WBC strap, Calvin is faster and has better movement and is far more experienced IMO due to his amateur career.

Brock has the ability to **** with the big guys and has experience, Boy ohhh Boy Vitali is doomed. He would be better with the elder Rahman.

Brock will not take this fight. Very dumb if he does, he is being brought along at a good pace and should keep with the progression. He needs to fight some of the crappy top ten like Williamson or Barrett, they would be easy wins for him, then he could step up in class. At this moment Vitali would crush him.

Holy ****! why is this guy "honing in on" anyone but the winner of rahman-barrett? Although Brock is a step up from the other competition he's been looking at (with the exception of Toney), this guy is losing credibility by the hour.

Vitali is the biggest joke in boxing right now but at least Brock is a good fighter. Good power in both hands, good jab, good chin, can get off the floor to win. Brock can also fight well from the outside so if this came off Brock would have a good chance at beating Vitali.

When is Vitali going to stop being such a ***** and make his mind up.

So what? Is that supposed to be a valid excuse?

Where are all of these rumors coming from? It seems to me that people sometimes just say, "that would be a cool fight to watch" then post it as fact.
Vitali will fight his mandatory and will stomp him. Rahman had one lucky punch in his career and Barrett is the MOST OVERRATED fighter in the sport today.

I want him to fight Rock or Toney...aanything else will be less than satisfying...

with that said VK will beat the **** out of Calvin Brock...I have no clue why people are even remotely excited about this guy...he is nothing special, watching his status elevate after his win against McCline is laughable...this is an easy fight for VK. Anyone who thinks Brock is the answer needs to grab their calculator and start crunching more numbers...this guy is an average HW.

That's not a public excuse, that's his reason

                    And it's a lame reason.
