@BigDunn... Manny is always spending money to help poor people. But he still doesn't NEED the $40 million. One million U.S. dollars is alot of money in the Phillipines. Plus gets paid more from advertisements, making a movie (albiet terrible movie) and even recording a album than he does from fighting. Everything he touches in the Phillipines turns to gold. He really doesn't need the money....

But that is different from not fighting for money. I'm sure he is well off, especially if he can spend $10 mil on an election knowing he wont get it back. Also, given the stunt he pulled with Hatton regarding the purse split, don't say he doesn't fight for money. That's just bull****!!

The need doesn't matter because they're both millionaires and will earn millions for anyone they fight. The "need" went out the window years ago.

@BigDunn... the Hatton thing was because Hatton was getting a huge share of the PPV in the U.K. where all of Pacman fights are aired for free in the Phillipines. Still kinda a BS move but it wasn't as bad as you make it sound...

But also the fight is so big that it will sell itself. Just **** TV channels with the commercial of Mayweather vs Pacquiao and what ever the name of the event is, hype it up with banners all over big cities and that's it. This is the first fight in a long time that the fighters don't have to do much but one commercial and that is it. I honestly think so. They have to get it done, **** *******, Facebook, Times Square NY, TV and the HBO 24/7 would be the icing on the cake. 3Million PPV buys in The US alone.

@Socram, Pacman doesn't fight for money, he fights because he love's it and he is good at it. Floyd fights for himself and money, which is fine, good for him. Plus, Pacman doesn't need the money, he is more than set for life. If Floyd was smart, he should get an accountant to make sure he still has money when his career is over...

exactly! If pacman doesn't fight for money (even though he is a prize fighter) and if pacman doesn't need the money, then why not just accept the lower purse!
