I'm buying this fight, I skipped Tyson/Mcbride, figure this has great potential, it's Gatti, it's floyd, it should be awesome

      SORRY SWEETS!

sometimes we get the big fights on sky over here, we do pay 45 quid a month for cable tbv though (bout 80 bucks) so its not exactly free.

its only occasional and sometimes we dont get them at all or a wekk late, friday night we get Tarver johnosn for example.

great i already know who wins you know.

so this kinda makes up for it.

we got taylor hopkins too live.

Yes I am, even though one of my favorite fighters is going to get murdered. This is a severe mismatch, but it's boxing. You never know. Maybe the ref will let Gatti spin PBF around and punch him in the back of his head Ricky Hatton-style

lol, my hbo and showtime, etc. arent free either, but I'm still having to shell out the bucks! Oh well, I guess I wont begrudge you seeing this fight for "more or less" free (or nothing extra) ...but only this time!
Seriously, I know how limited the available action is over in the UK, and I think it sucks much! From what I hear, they only show a few, select popular fighters..except, of course, for Hatton!

im not ***ish, but thats like me saying 'i wonder why the fried chicken place is out of business. oh yeah a herd of black people just stopped by for a family reunion.' i mean thats equally racist to what you said, even though it isnt really mean, it would offend a ***ish person

I dont get that..if the bar orders it and pays for it, it shouldnt matter how many people end up watching. It's almost the same as inviting friends over to watch. Theyre gonna buy booze anyway so it's business as usual.
I get what theyre bitching about...all these extra peeps getting to watch for one payment only, but like I siad, it's not much different from having friends over to watch.

That's why it's NOT like inviting friends over to watch. The bar is making money by showing the PPV (from food and liquor sales) and HBO PPV wants a piece of the action.

I totally 'get' why they feel that way, I just think it's bull****. So greedy..like they ppv fee isnt high enough and they dont make a killing anyway!

To us, boxing is special. Unfortunately to them it's a business, just like any other, and they're going to try to capture every stream of revenue they can.
