Cmon I dont think he is overrated at all, the guy can fight and also he has a great personality that why he is getting so much attention.

Still p4p May and Pac IMO are better than him, and he does agree.

Still i dont think Pac and Martinez can fight in an even playfield concerning weight

pac & floyd would beat him at 154 without a doubt. 160 is a toss up.

IMHO I do not think Sergio is overly rated, just that boxing fans have found love for the guy and realize that is has been long over due. Now, would he beat Floyd or Pac, I do not know but you bet I would love to see him stand there with either of them, not only I believe he can stand and fight among them and have a shot but really he deserves the shot.

He is also a southpaw counter puncher that would be a style matchup nightmare for any welterweight especially Mayweather who thinks prime weltherweights are too big. Anyways these matchups would never happen, so we probably don't need many more threads about it. Martinez is two divisions bigger than these guys so let him fight the middleweights.
I think Sergio is a real good fighter but Mayweather is the best right now. And Sergio is not that much bigger only 2 inches.

Sergio out boxed Williams and should have got the win by a couple rounds I think. But Quintana did that also, along with Cintron. Pavlik was out pointing Sergio while he could see him. These things don't suggest he can get a decision against Floyd.

i agree. sergio pac @ 154 would be a great fight. as would floyd @ 154. i think both pac & floyd beat sergio at 154 in exciting competitive match up.

but he does truly deserve a big payday.

he's a good plan b more so for floyd. i think he's ripe for the picking for either pac or floyd. he's 35 & he's coming off back to back wars vs pav & pwill.

Being not so hard to hit spells trouble against Floyd or Pac. Its true he is a good plan B though.

I do like Sergio as a boxer but he has a lot to prove to me still. And not much time left to do it.

Overrated? Have you even watched him box? He boxes beautifully and is super fast while doing it. The guy is the real deal and for a guy fighting like this at 35 is amazing.

                  World class fighter nonetheless
