Cintron, Williams and Pavlik all thought the same way. They thought Sergio would be easy. Everybody underestimates Sergio and he always rises to the challenge.

He did to Pavlik what no one other than Hopkins was able to do, and he did it as the smaller man. Ditto Williams (the knockdown) and ditto Cintron (One Punch knockout that wasn't a bodyblow).

With his size advantages he beats Pac and has a great chance to beat Mayweather too. If Pavlik and Williams weren't able to hurt him, no way Pac and Floyd will be able to.

But I like Serg, I don't think his boxing style is as ***y as he is, but he has great hands. His style is just as bad as Calzaghe's if you ask me. But I think he could take Paq and give Floyd a run for his money.

He might be overrated, time will tell. But he is much larger than Floyd and Pacquiao. He is also a southpaw counter puncher that would be a style matchup nightmare for any welterweight especially Mayweather who thinks prime weltherweights are too big. Anyways these matchups would never happen, so we probably don't need many more threads about it. Martinez is two divisions bigger than these guys so let him fight the middleweights.

lol....i made a thread about this too. nsb is hyping the **** at this guy sergio martinez. at 154 floyd would beat the **** out of this guy...i wouldn't be suprized if pac beat his ass too, cause pac could throw over 1000 punches and get this guy gased out. at 60 i'll pick floyd to beat him with a 60% chance.

Guy is getting older and is 1-1-1 (yea, yea the Cintron fight) in his last 3 fights like TS i can't understand the extreme hype he is now getting, sure he probably deserved more then he got in the past but lets not go overboard.

His footwork is pretty prone to getting him knocked down, i can see an accurate puncher like Floyd putting him down and with the weird angles and speed pac throws from who knows maybe he could too. Both Floyd and Pac have fantastic 12 round stamina too, Martinez was visibly gassed vs Williams and had to take 4 rounds off vs Pavlik in order to come on late. He can't afford to do that vs the likes Mayweather and Pac.

I'd favor Mayweather at any weight he is not that much smaller then Martinez and i don't believe if he fights him at 154 or 160 it changes the fight much. I think he maybe to big for Pac and beat him but i can definetly see pac knocking down Martinez at some stage.

Really? The man just fought one of the biggest freaks of nature out there in P-Will (probably the best pressure/volume fighter out there), and knocked his ass all over the ring, with little problems. So explain to me the theory of him having problems with pressure fighters again? Manny is with out question my favorite fighter, and I would always give the man a good chance at beating anyone out there; but Sergio is to big for him.
