What was funny is every highlight after round 2 was of Mosley getting his face caved in by Mayweather right hands

You're forgetting one thing, mosley is now 38 years old and hasn't fought for more than a year...are you saying that mosley has better stamina now compared to 5 years ago?

He ran out of gas because of 2 things, floyd's speed and mosley's age...

Pacquiao is currently in his prime and based on his last couple of fights, his stamina is more than the mosley that floyd fought today...

As I said earlier, a pac-mayweather fight could go either way...it's a fight that should be made....

Both pac and floyd needs to set their egos aside....

great performance..not surprised at all by that amazing display of well-honed boxing ability..floyd has the uncanny ability to spoil any fighters gameplan..thats why shane all of a sudden seemingly stopped punching..he coulndt figure out how to get in without catching sharp counters..then started second-guessing himself and it was all downhill from there..i dont think mosely is washed up at this point, everyone looks bad against floyd..i still firmly believe shane can batter an other fighter in the division..this fight definitley took most of the steam out of a the hype for floyd/pac showdown..none-the-less there is no other fight to be made that would mak sense at this point..

What should I say - Mayweather is thaaa man.

You can blame all you want on Mosley (as most will do) but it was Mayweather, who did the damage. Mosley wasn't gunshy at the start of the bout but after getting hit with some countershots Shane was afraid to throw punches besides the jab. If you think Mayweather can't hurt you with punches and you can walk through him ask Shane - he knows better. If he hadn't had that great chin it would have been a brutal ending for Shane.

Mosley was gassed because Mayweather stood in front of him - no big secret that Shane is a very tensed fighter and if you have a guy who is as fast as Mayweather it takes a mental toll on you because you can't relax in the ring and that burns your stamina.

May got hit really good in the second round but he held on and fought back like a real fighter does - I think it really woke him up at the beginning it looked like he was in a beauty contest but these shots made him really focus and he was getting meaner and more aggressive.

In the end now you know why they say skills pay the bills - speed, power etc. are nice tools but if you can't use them or don't know how to use them it's nothing. Mayweather is the best in knowing of how to use speed - best since Roy Jones (Roy Jones isn't a fundamentally sound boxer and if you can beat a guy like a Toney for example you must be a smart man).

Mayweather is the total package, let's bring on Pacquiao - these two dudes can't be beat by any other right now. Talk about Pacquiao-Margarito, Pac murders Margarito - I'll give Marga 6 rounds before his face looks like raw meat. May-Martinez - easy field day for Floyd - Martinez is fast but that doesn't cut it - his defense is about moving with his hands down, field day for Floyd - Pacquiao-Mayweather is the one that counts...

As for Mosley if he wants a big shot again probably at Pacquiao he now has to face a guy like Williams. Or Pacquiao just chooses to fight him next if the Mayweather fight doesn't come through but that would make it his second fight in the row against a guy who lost his last fight.

Great performance from Floyd - as usually I wasn't dissapointed that I stayed up til 6 in the moring.

Judah had success with floyd in the early rounds and we know judah gasses out. Both are southpaws but Pac has the stamina of a 15 round fighter and so does floyd. Pac never stops throwing punches too even if he gets countered like hell, so we will see how floyd handles the workrate. Floyd will have a faster punch when it comes to 1 punch at a time, but pac will have faster combinations. It will be pure offense vs pure defense. Duran never needed the length when he beat an undefeated sugar ray leonard. The antidotes of the phillyshell defense/shoulder roll would be, speed, combinations, footwork, stamina, southpaw, unorthodox. Pac has it all. And the antidote for pac would be speed and counterpunching. 50/50 in my book, no one can change my mind
Good analysis. I agree with your points.

I'd also be curious how the two compare on lateral and in-n-out movements, or if Pac would be able to turn him like he did DLH, firing from a southpaw stance. Interesting match-up. I really hope it gets made.

Mosley looked like crap. He was tired in the 5th round, he was dead on his feet from the 8th or 9th on. Floyd gets his credit, he did what he should do to fighters who look like Mosley did, but I spent the whole fight after the second round screaming, "Throw a f***ing punch!" at the TV. It really reminded me of Clottey against Pacquiao.

I gotta admit it... I was really sure Mosley would knock the **** out of Floyd but Mosley himself proved me wrong. Why was he the one who was acting scared in the fight? It was as if he was fighting Mike Tyson. I thought he was going to pressure and pound Floyd upto the last round - at least like what he 'kinda' did in round 2. Mosley just wasted his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

Mosley shouldn't have been too brave issuing those challenges to Mayweather given his performance in this fight. But despite that, I still think Mosley could have K.O.ed Floyd if he just pressured Floyd specially right after round 2. But it is what it is. So hats off to Floyd and me losing 20 bucks! =(

Perfect performance by Mayweather Jr. Perfect balance. Perfect counter-punching. Superb reflex. The quickest and most accurate punching skills. He's absolutely born for boxing.

Floyd showed that he can stand in front of his opponent and accurately deliver his attack!

He never loses his balance after he punches. He immediately regains his position and go back to defense. No unnecessary movements - very economical.

                      Amazing... just amazing...
