clottey is not an UNKNOWN. people know who he is. pac only getting 700k buys reflects only one thing. only 700k people were interested in watching his fight. the the other 500+k people didnt care.

dont make up an excuse for pacs poor numbers, you cant. people dont care b/c hes not the biggest draw in the sport
As I've already said, but you don't appear to be intelligent enough to understand it, according to your logic, Michael Jennings is not unknown either. But outside hardcore boxing fans, no one has heard of Michael Jennings.

De La Hoya sold well under 700k against many of his opponents. I suppose you think that proves that De La Hoya was also a bad draw.

Again.... stating your opinion as fact....

apples and oranges...... Your comparing apples and oranges..... so much easier to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges..... but you don't want to do that because you don't like the results.

Lets use the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple S----- (you fill in the blank) and compare Pac and Floyd's numbers vs. DLH, Hatton, JMM (but you don't like doing that.... do you?)

Its ******ed to compare # like that. The times lines are off.. Floyd was a bigger name and Boxing was also doing alot better.. Fighters Rep do grow if they are the top dawg.. and now the top dawg is Pac..

Only way you should compare PPV # are recent events.. Pac/Cotto, PFB/JMM was around the same time. and Pac did better #s..

Now is it fair to compare Clottey to Mosley.. Who ever fighting Mosley will have the higher PPV #s..

And if the roles are switched.. Would PFB do better numbers then Pac vs Clottey.. I dont think so..

And if Pac was fighting Mosley right now. Everyone knows this will do better PPV#s then Pac vs Cotto..

So imho.. the fight should be 50/50...

            Too many excuses

Hey Floyd Mayweather Jr, do not make too many excuses. Everybody knows that Manny Pacquiao issued a statement that he will fight you anytime. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CHALLENGE HIM AND SIGN THE CONTRACT. We do not need stories to hear, we need a good fight to watch.

I think this will just add to reasons why this fight will fall through again.

...but Shane fights Floyd and it is at record-breaking levels.

                    Why's that?
We're talking about PPV history here. Mosley was with NUmerous PPV event. Topped by 2 DLH fights. So Floyd cant compare his PPV numbers against JMM to Pac's 700K buys For the Clottey fight. Pac makes JMM popular first with their past PPVs. The same thing that DLH did to PBF, Pac and Mosley and makes them all PPV fighters.. Clottey is not in this category. Clottey is in Baldomir Category. How much PPV does Floyd sold with Baldo??
