    Froch deserves respect if he defeats Kessler in Denmark

    Boxers rarely are willing to go on the road to defend their titles.

    However, in the Super Six so far Kessler lost his WBA title in Oakland to Andre Ward, who was permitted to get away with numerous fouls: deliberate headbutts, hitting on the break, and holding & hitting.

    Froch will be defending his WBC title against Mikkel Kessler in Denmark this coming Saturday. Of course, Kessler is a better sportsman and has more class than Andre Ward, so there won't be a lot of fouling! And the referee will be from a neutral country.

    Still, it's always a little tougher to win on the road with the crowd rooting for your opponent.

    So I reckon Froch deserves respect if he is successful in defending his WBC super middleweight title on the road against an excellent fighter like Mikkel.

    I agree. Both fighters deserves a lot of respect.

      both good guys, i wish froch wasnt fighting kessler and spanking a yank instead, as kesslers a nice guy. Going to be a brutal fight and i have money on froch winning.

      You were right abouit ward. Disgraceful headbutting, that in europe would have seen him barred from boxing.

              Ward is the number one SMW because he beat Kessler, but Froch deserves no credit for beating Kessler

                Mikkel actually has a very decent resume. He has wins over several fighters who were Ring top 10 at the time: Mundine, Andrade, Beyer, etc.

                Kessler had both the WBA and WBC titles before he fought Joe Calzaghe.
