    The real answer:

Mosley isn't ducked by fighters, just like a guy like Paul Williams isnt either. It's like this; Fighters have a list of opponents and these guys are always option B, C or D.

Now in order for them to become someones option A, they have to do something to put themselves in that position. To prevent you guys from flaming...I'll use Floyd.

After Marquez, Pac makes the most sense to fight. He is the best opponent and brings the most money. By beating DLH, Hatton, and Cotto in the fashion he did, he establish himself (in the public and Floyd's eyes) as the best opponent to face. It goes like this

    1. Pacquiao
    2. Mosley
    3. Berto
    4. ???
    5 ???

Since Pac fight fell apart..Mosley fight happened. A guy like Paul Williams isn't ducked because 1. He brings no money 2. he has no title 3. he isn't even a WW etc....so if he wants a Floyd or Manny fight, he has to do something to earn that fight.

Now with Pac, it came down to Cotto and Mosley. Both are good options and are about equal, so you have to look at other factors when deciding between the two.

    1. Cotto brings more money
    2. Cotto beat Shane
    3. Cotto is an in house fighter, so Arum doesn't have to share the money

So with those reasons mentioned above....Pac didn't duck Shane, but his team chose the fight that made the most sense. It made more sense to fight Cotto, and while I have asked several times, and no one has given me a logical reason on why to pick Shane over Cotto. Yes Shane beat Toney who beat Cotto, but at the same time Cotto beat shane, making it a moot point.

I dont like the catch weight.. But Cotto never rushed into the Pac fight.. He did KO Jenning and beat a very tough Clottey before Pac..

            Jenning yes..

Clottey no.. I still think Clottey has a good chance of beating Berto, Mosley and Cotto..

I'm just going by Pac fan standards who call Floyd a ducker. But you make some good points except Roach said in his own words that Mosley is too good. There is no taking that back.

He didn't duck Mosley. He was already making a fight with Cotto, a Top Rank fighter much easier to make a fight with, when Mosley started talking about fighting Pacquiao.

Clottey is the guy who always almost wins. At some point we have to realize he just can't win the big fights. He will always be a mid level fighter.

People need to apply this same logic to Floyd when they claim he ducked a million fighters.

instead of being ******ed, why dont you create a sensible poll that asks which fighter would pac have ducked more if you were able to choose between a pac-cotto or pac-mosley fight?
