You can be in your prime for years before you start declining. Floyd's been at his peak for quite some time now, but him being more defensive doesn't constitute him not being in his prime.

Ive been following Floyds whole career unlike MOST of this site who think his career started in 2006.
He retired because he needed a break. He has hand problems, back problems, hes a known over trainer, the move up i weight. The lay off..etc.
Im one of Floyds biggest fans. Hes not in his prime anymore. Those shots JMM landed dont land on a Prime Floyd. Hes not in his prime but hes still the best fighter in the world.
Hes 33 years old and has only boxed 12 rounds in the last 2 years.
