Floyd matches up better with Williams than any other fighter currently at 147. If you knew anything about boxing and their styles you would realise that.........there would be many on here who agree with my statement.

How about you explain to me why you think Floyd does not match well with Williams.....let's see if you can actually quantify it scientifically from a boxing viewpoint?

Floyd is too small and doesnt throw enough punches to keep up with Williams. Floyd has NEVER been a high volume puncher. It's part of the reason he stays fresh late in fights. Williams is stylistic nightmare for any 147er period! Your boy isnt unbeatable and he lacks heart. Any high volume puncher with a good chin will give Floyd fits at 147 on up.

Proof Pac, Roach and Arum ****ed up the fight negotiations on purpose to avoid the pretty boy.

Shane offered team PAc a fight at 140 after they beat hatton = rejjected in favour Cotto.

Now floyd is fighting Shane Mosley....a much bigger threat to him than Pac is......who can now say Floyd ducked Pac with a straight face.......??

Do you really want a 140lb Mosley to fight pac? The public I think will crucify pac considering the most used excuse on pac-dlh.

Stuey learn something about boxing before making statements !! Floyd toys with anyone he fights. The harder they hit the more fun he has knocking them out. Look at poor Corrales :-) Pacman will get his lesson and remember who tought you something about boxing LOL

We're talking at 147 son. Did Mayweather KO Judah,Baldomir,De La Hoya? Hell,it took him 10 rounds of cracking Hatton just to get him out of there. Manny did it in 2 rounds. Your boy isnt and never was a big puncher. His 25 KO's are deceiving. He wont KO/TKO Mosely either!

The trouble with what your seeing is you think Floyd is just going to fold if he has to dig deep , I think you and a lot of others will be surprised how much deep end Floyd has when somebody can take it to him , his style has confused fans since before Ali , they always say they were runners with no heart , thing is , in average class most of this style will lack heart , but when its in a great they generally turn out to be real game .

Well I hope Mosely brings this out of Floyd. I want to see it. If Floyd gets brave it only increases the likelihood of his own demise. I know Shane can KO Floyd. Floyd better play it safe. It's the only way he can win. Of course I hope he takes chances for once in a long while.

Never TKO/KO. He might beat Shane by a close decision. I will be on here afterwards. Im not predicting Shane will win. Im predicting a 50/50 fight. All I know is Floyd would never fight P. Williams!! EVER!!!

Yep he is high volume. High volume = more counter opportunites.

Pointless if you can't hit the opponent though.

Floyd is a master at controlling the distance. He could actually fight Paul on the inside or the outside....he has 2 options with Paul.

Look at how easily Paul gets hit with short sharp hooks on the inside. Floyd could fight him in the pocket. Pauls arms are too big and he loops alot of punches. If floyd stepped in the pocket Paul would need to step back to get off. When he steps back and throws....Floyd will step forward and follow him and throw shorter punches. Floyd could blunt Paul's offense and take the heat out fighting him in the pocket.

Look at how long it took Paul to find his range against Martinez....3 or 4 rds. Sergio essentially fought outside and darted in quickly to deliver.

Floyd is a master at controlling distance. Paul is not an accurate puncher...he is a volume puncher. Floyd could move all night on the outside and dart in with 1 and 2 punch potshots to the body and head the way he fought Corrales in the earlier rounds. Paul following Floyd around will take out some of the advatage of fighting in a southpaw stance also. Paul essentially walks forward and throws punches in bunches. How is he going to do that against the best lateral and backward moving fighter in boxing today. As soon as he throws one....floyd will not be anywhere in the vicinity to recieve punch 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Floyd would give up 3 or 4 of the early rds......Williams would be missing so much he would begin to tire and then Floyd will start with the pot shotting.


Seriously P Williams is very beatable......its that chin that keeps him in the game....but it won't be as strong at 147 as it is at 154....and he can't wear down a fighter he can't hit. Also to answer your point...accuracy and footwork can ensure a victory for a fighter who is low volue vs one who is high volume.


Now lets look at some other welters. Josh Clottey perhaps...the man who called Williams a weak fighter at 147. See now IMO this is a guy who should avoid Paul Williams. He is flat footed and when you couple flat "footedness" with low volume against Paul you are asking for a one sided fight. Clottey holds his guard high to protect his head and body, essentially countering fighters once they come inside by timing them....sound like anyone else Paul has fought?? WINKY WRIGHT perhaps? Paul would sit on the outside and just hammer his guard with 70-80 punches a rd. Hard for Clottey to return fire because he is too flat footed when moving forward.


Conversely Clottey would match well against Mosley......u can figure that one out on your own.....
