I have said that he is old from the get go. I have also said he is dangerous. Its also important to note that the fight isnt signed yet,and if I have doubted that he would fight shane,then you can hardly blame me given his track record.

yes Williams is big and has great workrate but makes mistakes, hes very open for right hands and basically doesnt look to where he really wants to place his punches, and he really doesnt have a plan b, he just stalks you and stacks combinations.

But Floyd is too smart for that, hes not going to stay there like Winky did, i got a feeling this fight will look a lot like the Ndou fight (even if he isnt a southpaw, he had the same tactics)

I have no problem if it does become mandatory,what I do have a problem with is a fighter requesting it because he has been backed into a corner and had his gloss taken away by another fighter. I would also have no problem with it had it been done purely as an altruistic desire to clean up the sport. We both know this isnt the case. This fight should have happened under the same rules as all their previous fights,at least then we would have a fight to talk about.

I have never denied admiring his skillset,however floyd is known more for the fights he didnt have as opposed to the ones he did. His apparent lack of intestinal fortitude is what puts me off. anyway,to answer my question, do you really think that fighters in the lower weight classes age like wine when they are nearly 40? Do you think that Shane will be better for not having fought in eighteen months? Do you seriously believe we are going to get a better Shane than the one that fought Marg? If you answer yes to any of these,then there really is little hope.

Styles make fights........if Shane does not look as good as he did against the cheater it's because Floyd will spoil him.....Mosley is not a fighter who balloons in weight btw fights like HAtton...and givenn he now trains with Richardson and Hopkins i doubt he walks around at more than 155 atm even when not fighting.....

It took him 4 years to do that. Miguel Cotto and Mosley already did it. They fought everybody. To me if Floyd fights everybody that's already an accomplishment. Let alone cleaning up the house. But you gotta admit that except Mosley, this house looks cleaner than it was before. Margarito*, Cotto were much more dangerous back then. You also had Quintana, Williams and even Cintron.

Mosley and Pacquiao are the only fighters who can really make something for his legacy. Berto and Clottey are good but not famous enough and never won a big fight yet.

No,thats not a good post, because basically it says that Shane will look **** against floyd,and that floyd aint no Marg. Duh! really? It doesnt,and as yet no one has answered the question,is an 18 month layoff good for a fighter touching 40?
