schaeffer deliberately did not want this fight to happen because they wanted mayweather-pacquiao.

sorry , juanma. golden boy screwed you over.
Good points, bro. 50-50 at this point in Pac's career? OST testing? JMM never made these kind of demands in their 2 fights. Considering the Floyd debacle, GBP obviously made the demands knowing that it would effectively scuttle the fight.

They are screwing over JMM. And what's sad is, I don't think his people realize it.

"Over the final five rounds, the two fought on extraordinarily even terms as Marquez went 65 of 248 (26 percent) overall and Pacquiao was 65 of 250 (26 percent). In power punches over the same span, Marquez was 44 of 142 (31 percent) and Pacquiao 39 of 93 (42 percent).

The jab was never a factor for either man, which marked a tactical victory for Pacquiao. In terms of raw numbers, Pacquiao actually outjabbed Marquez 48-36, but in doing so he threw 200 more (408-208). But Pacquiao’s ability to neutralize Marquez’s jab was nullified by Marquez’s superiority in power punches as he went 122 of 339 (36 percent) to Pacquiao’s 100 of 231 (43 percent). Overall, Marquez held the slight edge with his 158 of 547 (29 percent) output as opposed to Pacquiao’s 148 of 639 (23 percent)."

Just curious.....but according to Compubox and its writers and analysts....who I might add are very neutral and un-biased....saw a even fight....not mentioning Marquez almost going down in the 10th and holding onto the ropes in the 7th to avoid a KD.

Oh...and "slight edge" doesn't = getting your ass kicked....it means it was a pretty even fight.

        1. Fight was on Mexican Independence Day, not national Money Making Day, but Mexican Independence Day.

        2. Look at the crowd that actually took the time and money to make it out to Vegas.
thanks for pointing that out to that ****-for-brains so called journalist.....

no man thats not how a boxing match is scored.
if boxer A scores a knock down in 5 rounds out of 12 and loses the rest by points with no KD or total domination, his score would total up to 113.

and boxer B who got KO'd in 5 rounds but won the rest by 10-9 his score would be 110

its called the 10 point system man.

pac vs jmm 1 and 2 were really close fights, but pac shouldve won the first one in the scorecards and IMO pac also won the REALLY close second fight because of the KD and the other 2 near KDs.

pac will be accused of cherrypicking if he opted to fight marquez...they're not in the same league anymore

One round seperates him and the number one PFP fighter. What else do you need?

Beating Marquez by the hair on Marvin Haglers head is more than enough for a make up fight after the Floyd disaster.

But so is the Clotty fight so I can't **** on manny that much about it.

                Body Puncher

Hey Mark Vester the Hispanic community made that Mayweather vs Juan Manuel Marquez a 1 million buys. You think without the Hispanic community that fight would have made it one milliopn buy's get real.

Marquez' best days are over.....his legacy intact but, for someone who is now really washed up challenging Pacquiao who is at peak? Wow, Pac would literally kill him at 140+...

If Marquez thinks he is fighting the same Pacquiao then he is obviously deluded.

Move on Marquez.....and the only fight you deserve is Ricky Hatton and maybe, maybe a 50-50 but a long shot for him. And he is asking for a 50-50 with Pacquiao and demanding the same blood testing from Pacquiao?

What would Pacquiao gain to beat Marquez for their 3rd fight? Nothing. I don't like to see Pacquiao defeat an old washed up fighter because it could backfire against Pacquiao.

JMM ducked PACQUIAO for 4 years.

He was offered biggest payday in his career and instead he took a 30 000 fight

against CHRIS JOHN and got schooled.
                      Wrong.

Manny was offered over $8 million in guaranteed money to fight Marquez a couple of years ago and he rejected the fight.

JMM is ducking Manny that's why he's been begging for a rematch since their last match.

How can I guy who outboxed Manny and fought Mayweather be afraid of Manny? Explain to me how that makes sense. Most people feel Manny was outboxed by Marquez in the 2nd fight.

This is what really happened with Arum and GBP. GBP made some crazy demands so they fight would not happen. You think Marquez would ask for a 50-50 split and Olympic style testing, when he's not a big name in boxing compare to Manny?
