Originally posted by pbftxrs316 View Posti can tell you all now that manny is way in over his head fighting floyd---it's not a fair fight--floyd is too crafty in the ring---
i can look at how they train and figure this out---for one--the way floyd hits the pads with roger already shows me that he's a much sharper puncher than manny--so manny's power punches won't matter---people like to say roger does all of the work on the mitts and floyd just taps them--and those people only prove how dumb they are whenit comes to this sport---manny hits hard right? but his punch placement only recently has improved--of course against fighters who stand straight up and are flatfooted---ala cotto and hatton and oscar---floyd's timing, accuracy, and punch placement is so much better than manny's--it's not even funny---the way floyd positions himself in his stance and even how he holds up his hands right before he avoids a punch and counters or throws a punch is a thing of beauty---he is too slck for manny---
don't get me wrong--manny is great at what he does in the ring--but floyd is too complex for this guy---floyd throws sharp punches when he feints, fights off the ropes, moves backwards, dips and counters, and etc--meaning he doesn't look sloppy and off balance--great leverage--movement, upperbody positioning--manny is good off the front foot when he bounces and moves around after he hits you---but only against fighters who don't move---watch how manny changes his style and throws less punches against floyd who will dictate manny's tempo--thus dictating the whole fight en route to a 8th round stoppage or earlier stoppage---
floyd controls his punches better than manny does--which is why he can potshot and still dominate you--while you tire yourself out throwing so many punches and missing and overwhelming yourself---manny will limit his punch output--not tothrow floyd off---but because floyd will make manny lose confidence in himself once he realizes he isn't landing effectively against floyd---he's looking sloppy---balance is off--he getting countered from every angle--he's cut up and bruised---i mean this is only a few things that floyd will do to manny--
manny can get floyd on the ropes--and it still won't help him--because flod knows how to land punches in between his opponent's combos and manny isn't that good against counterpunchers--and floyd will not only block most of manny's punches but land on him in the process---its so obvious--this fight is predetermined---it's floyd's fight to lose, not manny's---it's funny--manny is the champion--yet floyd is the betting favorite---like he was against all of the other champions he's ever fought--that's how good he is---floyd will blow manny's high when they fight---he will snap manny back to reality and then bring on shane or berto---i can't wait...

its exactly 3 months before the fight! there'd be more threads like this on the run-up to the most awaited bout of the decade!
by 12 March there'd probably be 5,000 threads about how KO artist Floyd will put Manny the bum fighter to sleep!

as soon as the pac became the new pound for pound king and floyd decided to come out retirement there have been millions of articles, analysis written about them.
man, you only have to go to YT, everytime manny demolishes an opponent, boxing experts would then spend the rest of the vids talking about the possibility of a manny and floyd match-up
as a pacquaio fan, we are so used to this kind of "so and so is going to derail the pac train" and then his haters write a book about how manny is going to be demolished. sounded really plausible at that time but never happened! he just keeps proving the unbelievers wrong!Last edited by pbftxrs316; 12-13-2009, 03:20 PM.

if you're so dumb that you underrate manny and insinuate that floyd wins have been easy, i'm gonna bring the ones that haven't been easy
btw, scores are opinions indeed, but what's your excuse for the punch stats? let me post them again kid:
Castillo Mayweather
203 Landed 157
506 Thrown 448
40% Percentage 35%
Power Punching Stats:
Castillo Mayweather
173 Landed 66
377 Thrown 151
46% Percentage 44%
what do you make of that? castillo outlanded floyd by 46 total punches, and by 107 power punches. not only that, he also had a better connect percentage than floyd in both punch categories
castillo could make that to floyd, so how is manny an easy fight for floyd?

castillo gave him fits with power and pressure, de la hoya did with a jab, hatton gave him trouble without really even throwing anything but himself in front of him. judah gave him serious fits with some power fast hands and a southpaw stane, and judhs hands are not even as quick as floyds. see the thing about manny is he does all this and more, floyds magic of course but unless youve been under a rock youd know so is manny. this dudes not gonna jump in front of floyd like you so wish he would, nah hes gonna punch his ass off. if manny does anything well its punch. hes not gonna wait for floyd, trust. floyds in deep ****, he can block 10, hell ill give him 20, but as soon as manny lands one..you better believe floyd hide, and manny will overwhelm him. floyds real slick but the man cant crack an egg. this will be history, karma will catch up with the pretty boy. pacquiao will take this, believe it.
arguments can be made allll day but the 2 will fight the 2 will try their hardest, only one will win.

what we're saying here its okay gloating about Floyd's ****size, but do not make bold statements like his opponent is a complete waste of time and has no chance of winning!
why do you thnk this has been labeled as the fight of the decade if floyd is fighting a total loser!
might as well put floyd in there against mummy dionesia. At least that old woman can dance around the ring!
