For the dumbasses, is the year 1930 still considered the 20's?
Of course not. All those who can't count probably smoke crack with Floyd Mayweather Sr.

A decade is a period of ten years. The word is derived (via French) from the Late Latin decadem, accusative of decas, from Greek decas, from deca. The other words for spans of years also come from Latin: lustrum (5 years), century (100 years), millennium (1000 years). The term usually refers to a period of ten years starting with 0 and ending in 9. For example, "the 1950s" refers to 1950 through to 1959 (inclusive). In English, "decade" can also be used to specify any period of ten years. For example, "During his last decade, Mozart explored chromatic harmony to a degree rare at the time".
Calender definition: The current Western Calender uses the Gregorian calender which is roughly based upon the perceived birth of Jesus Christ. This is also listed as the Anni Domini or AD period in the calender with the prior period being BC or "Before Christ" in English. With this numbering system the fist year was appropriately numbered AD1. This makes proper definitions of the term decade when referring to the typical ten year period of year to run from Jan 1,1 to December 31, 10 and so on though time. Many people through out the world mistake a decade from running from the "zero" year which is actually the last year of the decade. The common use for this may be for ease of grouping. Technically, any ten years of can be grouped together as a decade such as, "We're celebrating our first decade in business.
