If Pacquiao chases Floyd around the ring does that play into Floyds style of boxing?

I think it does, I think when that bell rings in the first round Pacquiao should just stay still and wait and force Floyd to come to him. And if Floyd doesn't come to him then I guess we have a boring 12 round fight. But I do not think Pacquiao should waste any energy by trying to rush in Ricky Hatton style.

Yes, and he doesn't want to fight that kind of fight against Floyd

No, it does not and it is the only way Pacquiao can beat Floyd?

I asked the same question (several times) a while back. Everyone follows Floyd around, which instantly plays into his hands. If he can get Floyd to come forward, he takes away certain advantages. But as you said, it would be boring if Floyd doesn't come forward, and then everyone walks out.

That is a risk team Pacquiao must take. They must not chase Floyd down.

Nah I think he has to do that. Not "chase Floyd around the ring" but cut it off and push the action.

If he hesitates and stands back he allows Floyd to dictate the range and pace which would result in an outcome similar to that of the Marquez fight. Pacquiao has a great chance to win if he shows relentless offense and doesn't allow Floyd to cut his workrate down.

Yes it does. thats floyds type of fight and he will win if that happens. pac shouldnt fall for that like the others that fought floyd, he should box and try to lure floyd in.

Zab Judah made Floyd come foward by beating Floyd to the punch early on. But since Mayweather saw how annoyed Pacquiao was with Cotto's movements, I see Mayweather boxing and then coming foward around the 7th or 8th round.

I agree 100%. Actually, I asked Shawn Porter and he disagreed, he thinks Pacquiao should just go throwing everything he has at him. Since this has never worked in the past, I don't see the point. On the other hand, Pacquiao is a different kettle of fish altogether, because Floyd never fought anyone like him.

Honestly though, I wouldn't chase Floyd. He's probably expecting it and training for it. I would at least start the fight as we suggested, hold my ground in the center of the ring and see what happens. Floyd knows Pacquiao has some real pop, so I don't see him doing anything but back up and potshot for most of the fight.

You can say that Pacquiao will be inexperienced cutting off the ring; as we saw against Cotto...because most of Pacquiao's opponents didn't move.

The audience will be asleep by then.

Inexperienced? I wouldn't go that far. I think he got bored in the Cotto fight and couldn't be bothered to chase and cut off the ring. While Manny may might not be a genius at cutting off the ring, I wouldn't say he's inexperienced. Hell no.
