I just tryin to find the article that you just posted. I've hard that argument before and it was spread by this young fella from MAGBOX web site. Several pros conclude that you can put all the tape you want and it will not increase your power. Also, and I think it is mentioned in the article Tito keeps his wrapping after the fights so wouldn't he remove it ASAP if there was something to hide.

Listen, adding tape or gauze to a fist won't make it hit harder. All it does is protect the hands and allows for the fighter to punch at his maximum power with less fear of hurting himself. That's all.

Also, I can't find it, but ********** interviewed Bouie and he said that the handwrapping thing was all a psychological ploy to get Tito out of his mindset. Hopkins, if I'm not mistaken, said something to that extent, too.

In the old days they used to have rule that in all championship matches the hands had to be wrapped inside the ring, I dont know why they ever changed that rule.

Yeah Right. Ten Yards of Tape equals alot of added mass. Hard friggin mass I might add. And depending on how compact you wrap it, as well as the shape of the fighter's fist, you have a sledgehammer waiting to crush its victims.

Excuse me for all the drama.

Only if you're not paying attention. Most of those excerpts from the various trainers weren't addressing Tito in particular, only their own practices or general practice and opinion. None of em could testify to how Tito's dad wraps his hands; maybe he had been putting tape on his bare hand. We sure as hell didn't see the power that will, "after a few power shots cause Winky to lower his guard", against Hopkins.

Boricua should be subjected to a couple of those Tito left hooks for posting that Tome of Trivia and Blatant Nuthugging. Just kidding, but it doesn't really support his argument as completely as ole Red here asserts.

Of course, I don't have any evidence to the contrary myself. At any rate, the guy who said that ignorance or negligence by the opposing fighter's team or officials in being there to inspect the wrapping is their own fault.

They deserve to get hit with a ****ing cast.

The NYSAC did make Trinidad Sr. demonstrate the way he wraps Tito's hands before the Mayorga fight and they said they seen nothing wrong just like on the night of the fight. They only made Trinidad rewrap because they said the event was too big to cancel.

Both Bouie Fischer and Nazeem Richardson have said in interviews that it was just a mind game they were playing on Tito. Hopkins even said at the final press conference for the Howard Eastman fight that Nazeem Richardson was the man behind the plan while praising Richardson as his strategist.

They better supervise the handwrapping during the Winky fight to make sure that he doesn't have an unfair advantage and so that I don't lose my bet

Morales had Pacman use lesser gloves, they signed that on the contract, so he could get the "winners" glove, so I guess he cheated infront of your faces, lucky for him he never fought Casamayor, Frietas, Corrales or Seda in all his time fighting.
