I agree. Clottey gets dominated easy by Paul. Clottey doesn't throw
enough and just don't have enough power to keep Williams from throwing
and dominating him with his punch output.

I think the problem with Williams is that he is not dominating one division
first. If he commits to one division and builds his name and worht up
then I can see people wanting a shot at him because it would be worth
getting beat up for. Williams should of had unified belts by now but
everyone is chasing the big $ without putting it down. Williams should
of fought again by now if he wanted to.

i like how williams makes a low ball offer to clottey to make it seem like he is avoided and then doesnt continue to negotiate obviously the first number you would throw in negotiations is a low ball offer and then work up a little bit. clottey is ready and willing to fight williams and has been calling out his name on numerous occasions. this will be another brilliant hype job by goosen to make paul seem avoided

Once again, this is why boxing needs a legitament governing body that make these fights happen. It should be set up by rankings and the top fighters fight each other according to weight class. The champions should be forced to fight the number one contenders 3 times a year and the champ takes in 70% of the earnings. That's the priviledge of being champ. If he can't defend his title for any reason, then he is stripped and have to get back in line.Contenders should fight each other for top ranking and the winner gets 60% of the earnings. There can only be one champion per weight class. Can you imagine how much more exciting the sport would be? Those that couldn't abide by the rules would simply have to find another means of employment. This will probably never happen and that is why we have the UFC starting to dominate.

you make some good points, boxing for the most part is now all about protecting your record and building hype to get your big payday. Williams is in no position to lowball Clottey, if anything they are both on the same level as far as fame goes. Sad part is the spin will be Cottey was afraid of Williams.

$650k is a lot of money for Clottey given the fact that both Williams and Clottey are not big draws yet. Clottey/Arum should take that offer.
