He took care of Hatton in 2, what more could you ask for
      I thought the same thing.

Hatton being called an overrated bum fighter when he has only lost to Mayweather and Pacquiao. Pacquiao has a 10 fight win streak that started in 2005. Regardless of competition faced, Pacquiao has won every single fight after he lost to Morales back in 2005.

Hatton lost to Mayweather? okay and? Everybody that Mayweather has faced, has also come out of the ring with an L on their record. The late great Diego Corrales was head and shoulders better than Ricky Hatton, P4P, and he ended up getting stopped in 10 rounds with 5 total Knock Downs.

Ricky Hatton was a tough opponent for Pacquiao, but the way Pacquiao won is what makes the haters say Pacquiao just beat an overrated bum. The first overrated bum with a record of 45-2 and being undefeated in a division for 44 fights.

^^^^ to me the fact that pac almost killed hatton in 2 rounds says alot. I expected it to be a tough fight and I expected Pac to pull out a tough win. I never expected to see a 2nd round tyson-esque ending. I know that Floyd and the Turnbuckle took some out of Fatty but I dont think they took out that much. The way he handled Ricky so easy was a shock

I mean, Manny from the Morales fight to the JMM fight in 2008 he looked the same fighter. I mean dont get me wrong he is a warrior and have lots of heart and determination, but he didnt dominate or so call imporve anything in those fights. As soon as he fight people who only block punches with his face and didnt threw back he looks spectacular.

Guys think he is unhitable, and and unbeatable.

people forget he got beat by a less than a 100% Morales and was given hell by JMM twice.

The Diaz, Hatton and DLH fighst have created a illusion thats just that, a illusion.

People will come to reality on november 14. Even if Manny wins he will be given hell by Cotto!!!!
i agree, pac is fighting bums after bums.... diaz, dlh, hatton, cotto.... wtf are you doing pac, fight some legit competition and dont cherypick your enemys...

Ch@mp, you are seeing this way too simplistically, my friend. Let me throw in my $0.02, for what it's worth.

You failed to factor in a couple of things.

The Marquez fights (especially the last one) forced Pacquiao to become a better fighter. The improvement he has shown over the last couple of years is astonishing. As a boxing fan with a keen eye for detail, you should be able to see this. Please, please, put away your nationalistic pride for just one minute and try to see this from a balanced viewpoint! Manny Pacquiao is a better fighter now that he was 2 years ago. Vastly. The reasons:

            1) The Marquez fights, as I mentioned, highlighted some of his weaker points and showed him exactly what needed to be improved. The most important thing was the right hand. See the difference from the first fight to the second. Now consider it's also improved since then.

            2) Alex Ariza. Alex has been working with him since the Diaz fight. They work on explosiveness, plyometrics, ballistic training. This is how he has managed to retain his speed while increasing weight.

            3) Factor in that he is now fighting close to his natural weight these days. He doesn't have to cut nearly as much weight any longer and this certainly hasn't had any kind of negative impact as far as his performances are concerned. The JMM fight was his last at 130 because he was struggling to make it. When he fought Singsurat and got KO'd, he was struggling with weight. Would Manny Pacquiao struggle with such a fighter under normal circumstances, and of all things, go down from a body punch? Really? Hell to the **** NO! Put him in with Singsurat now and see what happens. I would guarantee Singsurat wouldn't make it out of the first round. Why? Because Manny Pacquiao is better. Simple.

Pacquiao has a different approach nowadays and seems to realize that draining your body to make the lowest weight possible isn't necessary because he can perform better and is stronger when fighting closer to his natural weight, which of course is 140+. (I'd say approx 142-144 would be perfect).

If Marquez met Pacquiao at 140+ he wouldn't have a chance. Marquez simply doesn't carry his power and speed as well as Manny at the higher weights. To make 140, he has to eat to get there. Manny has to cut a little. Mayweather* proved that 140+ pounds of solid muscle is too much for a natural 126lb'er with 20 pounds of fat to handle.

            * Which leads me to one other point worth mentioning: Floyd had his hardest fights at the lower weights. Since he's been fighting closer to his natural weight, he is virtually untouchable. These two guys know exactly what they are doing.

So there you go. You can carry on believing Manny is only looking good because he's fighting weaker opponents, that's your opinion, and my opinion is, while there's a degree of truth to what you're suggesting, it isn't quite so simple. Manny is a very finely-tuned machine.

Champ forgets the first fight with Barrera where Pac takes Barrera to school. It makes sense that after the Barrera fight where Pac's style was unveiled that Morales and Marquez had an easier time coming up with a blueprint to beat him. Hence why they were harder fights for Pac.
Barrera is a left hand dominant fighter, like Hatton, Oscar, Diaz, and Cotto.

The way to beat Paquiao is the straight right hand. Larios had him stunned with it, some bum knocked him down with it, Morales whooped Pac's ass with it, and Marquez outboxed him twice using it.

Cotto vs Pac is just a higher weight version of Barrera vs Pacquiao.

                Why?

Pacquiao started out as a kid before his body matured, and asian males are very small in their youth anyway.

Pacquiao's natural walking weight is 154lbs. He's no little guy anymore.

STFU, you are one of teh hipocrits that alway use the weight excuse, but when somebody says that Pac has beenn KTFO twice, you come quickly to say, well that was a long time ago and when Pac as young and on the lower weight classe so that doesnt count.

STFU with your Cotto is huge bull****!!
