I'm impressed by KDavis taking this fight. Bearing in mind that De Los Santos was ducked by Pitbull, Frank Martin and Tank Davis..Edwin's fellow PBC fighters.
Edwin De Los Santos had a life-threatening medical condition involving blood clots and injured hand, reason why he has been 18 months inactive.
Don't think it be right if Santos jumped to a title shot at 135 right now. Perhaps someone like Artem Harutyunyan to see where he is at the moment in the undercard of Davis vs Roach 2.

That’s too bad unfortunate for Santos but thanks for letting us know before we start claiming he’s ducking.

De Los Santos still wants the fight though, he stated that he is getting lowballed with 225k for a title fight instead of the 400k stated and that his team is still in talks. He however has a legitimate reason for being inactive for a year and a half. He is also at a considerable disadvantage.
Somebody like Sam noakes or Abdullev wouldn't be a bad first defense for him. Both highly ranked by the WBO and both pretty good fighters. Noakes has been pretty untested tho and might be to big of a jump for him this soon but if he got the call I'm sure he'd take it
