Whereas Benavidez was in an extremely competitive fight against Gvozdyk from what i remember and certainly didnt look the same force he was at super middle weight.

Gvozdyk stopped Benavidez in his tracks numerous times.

Morrell shook Benavidez with a counter jab last night and he's not a fully fledged LHW.

Yarde could do some serious damage to Benavidez and Beterbiev would take his soul.

Bivol on the other hand would certainly have enough power much like Gvozdyk to make Benavidez think twice about coming in which in term would result in a boxing masterclass and domination.

I never liked Canelo for the simple fact he tried to age out Ggg and got a gift decision so theres no Canelo agenda here..

However i do think that Benavidez is in no mans land as hes moved out of super middle and has no chance at the real light heavy straps.
Lmao...dominate. 9/3. End of story. Youbcan throw your imagination out

Yep. Morrell got outworked significantly almost the whole fight. Scores were closer than they should have been. It was a 10-2 or 11-1 type of fight.. Morrell never seemed to be in control or clearly won any round. Great chin though.

I saw it as a 11-1 rounds for Benevides.
These boxing groupies on Boxing Scene seem to be giving Morrel points for taking a good beating.

Bivol could not even dominate Craig Richards. 21 year old Benavidez worked Bivol in sparring. Lets see how good Bivol moves after Benavidez works that body.

Thing about Bivol which is a shame is he just does enough to win but you put on the pressure and you will get hurt..

both great talents but theyll need some serious peds to keep up with Bivol and Beterbiev.

Even Bivol a not known puncher would hurt these guys and they'd give him huge respect after a couple of slaps from him..

Should have Both stayed at super middle where they had some pop because i doubt either will come close to beating the number 1 and 2 as i think both would dominate either fighter
Why didn't he hurt a 17 year old Benavidez during sparing? Why didn't he hurt a super middle weight Canelo in their fight. Imo Benavidez beats the hell out of Bivol any day of the week. If a slow, plodding Canelo with minimal output had some success against Bivol, imagine what a high output, pressing Benavidez would do.
Beterbiev's only chance would be his power. He too would be outworked by Benavidez.

Bivol certainly hurt Canelo to an extent its the reason he made him shell up all night

And sparring??? You ever think that perhaps Bivol was just trying things out in the sparring with a 17 year old???
i doubt he was boxing like he was Beterbiev,he could possibly have even let Benavidez on the inside to work on his own defence ...

Have you ever sparred before??? Do you just try and take everyones head off or do you sense the level if theyre below you and just take it easy or work on technique ect

Sparring means nothing because there is so many factors...you can only go off previous fights if youre the general public

Amen. The entire point of sparring is to work on particular things. Sometimes you let guys in and work on your defense on the ropes. Sometimes you work on counters. I'll ask my sparring partners to throw a lot of a particular type of punch or combo I have trouble with so I can work on how to deal with it. Sometimes I'll work on cutting the ring, or fighting on the outside, or working just on the inside. Good coaches always want you to have goals and experiment in sparring. It's not about just going in there and having a fight with head gear on.
