I had never seen Nyika fight so was not sure what to expect from him. Watching him in this fight I was surprised at how inexperienced he was. Looks the part physically. Tall but does not fight tall behind the jab, switches stance between southpaw and orthodox randomly with no rhyme or reason , lacking in defense. Jai could not miss him even if he wanted to. Nice tune up for Jai. Now on to Zurdo who is a TOTALLY different beast. My money will be on Zurdo with all due respect to Jai.

Jai is really flashy upstairs with the big punches, so it's easy to overlook that he's got pretty educated feet. He's fairly good at managing distance and even takes angles. Nice pivot around in this fight, although he didn't capitalize on it much, even though Nyika had no idea where he was and was totally out of position.

I think he's probably slightly faster than Zurdo, and will have the edge in power also, along with a slight reach advantage. Zurdo looked quite skilled against CBS, and frankly, it's crazy he made 168 for so long. And Opetaia's defense is pretty permeable, although not as bad as Nyika. If Zurdo can take the power and keep the volume up, it should be an interesting fight. But Jai is good at punching with the punches, so Zurdo is going to eat counters, even though he's more defensively responsible than Opetaia, and we'll see how he likes it to the body. Pretty clear that's the best fight to be made at cruiserweight, until or unless Usyk comes down again to reclaim his crown.

Just can’t see Zurdo having any kind of success against him
We all know Zurdo don’t like getting hit to the body and Jai loved going to the body which will open up the upstairs for some clubbing shots

Opetai vs Zurdo Next. Turki needs to make it next.
Will see how good Opetai really is. Didn't even know the guy he just beat. Looking at his record he does not look impressive at all.

I'm too careful with my money, but I agree. I saw a powerful guy clobber a powerful but woefully inexperienced fighter (beautifully, I will add) who had no business being in that ring. Something is off about Jai, I can't put my finger on it, and until he climbs in there and proves me wrong, I got Zurdo winning a decision.

One thing I can say with confidence is no one is going to "destroy Ramirez" ...in this weight class. There is no special effects to Ramirez's game but is he is tried and tested. His last 3 fights were against POWER PUNCHING world class opponents. He neutralized each one and gave them a beating in the process. Sleep on Zurdo and bet the house on Jai. Yes there are "levels to this" . Jai is about to get a culture shock.

The fact he couldn’t dispose of CBS truly says a lot about Zurdo
His last three were power punchers ; the only one would be Smith Jr

CBS is decent at best but he can ba_ng. So too is Arsen Goulamirian and Joe Smith as far punching power goes.
                      They are all quality operators.
I look at Jai's record and the quality name that jumps at me is Mairis Briedis and both of those fights were boderline life and death affairs.

Any body who thinks he is going to walk through Zurdo is in for a surprise.
Advice to Jai and his team: Please tighten up that defense. He will need it to survive 12 rounds or less.
There is no frills or special effects with Zurdo but he knows his way around the ring and he knows how to DIG to that body.
                      Cant wait.
