Morrell has all the tools he needs to beat Benavidez if he can take the pressure. I like Caleb Plant and think highly of his skills, but I think Morrell also beats any of the best guys that Benavidez has fought. Morrell will have a 2.5" reach advantage too. Benavidez likes to literally walk people down and compromises his stance constantly, and uses a static high guard, and this will be the first guy who's actually his size that he'll have fought, outside of 37 year old Gvozdyk. I'm hoping Benavidez will be a heavy favorite, cause I'd love some underdog odds on Morrell.

3.5" from what I gather... That's a big advantage to have against Benny.

Yeah, he's at least 77 to 74.5. Benavidez has a lot of habits from being the bigger man all the time, just like Devin Haney. If he's the favorite, I'm all over that underdog action. And Morrell is a much more complete fighter than Ryan Garcia.

Pretty sure it will be the tallest opponent for Benavidez; probably for both. Defensively, DB has relied on his height to lean back and high guard it. But he is limber in his upper body which makes it more complicated than a taller guy just leaning back, like Callum Smith for example. . He can pull back and punch with both hands from those positions; it's not a safe area for an opponent necessarily - and then amid all that, he can suddenly become ambidextrous when his feet seem out of position; it's all very fluid and improvisational. You might see his patented triple left hooks in those spots ( so much fun). That is the part of his game that made me go wow when I first saw him fight.

but Morell will be the type of fighter who may be tall enough and skilled enough to find more than others have when Benavidez gets caught squared up. can Morell just keep DB at home more than others with a busy jab, he will have plenty to hit downstairs if he is able to do that. Andrade landed a good amount under the elbows, whatever success Gavril had was behind his jab and when DB was squared up, giving up a lot of his body.

So hard to pick against DB though, I can't do it. He has a lot of experience and know how. When he used to sit-in with the commentary team on TV, you realize how smart in boxing he really is.

All I know is Benny is easy to hit when he needs that breather
He's still not even close to his weight being still almost 20
                pounds from it
WBC does 30 day before fight weigh in

Well Benavidez has beaten what?, 3-4 former world champions in 2 divisions so far, Morrell....ZERO. NONE

Cant wait to see what the cuban is capable of against an actual worthy of opponent.

Already put 250 on morrell jr. Yes it's a step up in competition yet it is for benavidez as well. Hes never fought an authentic yet good Cuban. The style makes even canelo vs lara in his prime win ?..morrell win win by ko or decision. All Cubans can hit that bike we ain't seen such from morrell which to me let's me know he has a whole nother style if shh gets hella tough. His athletism size and not officially using the classic Cuban style yet lets me lean morrell jr. I think his regular style slightly edges benavidez yet if he his that bike cause benavidez is like that then again benavidez doesn't have the athletism to keep up. Benavidez only beats canelo cause canelo has no knees, and the size difference. If canelo was 5'11 he'd blitzkrieg benavidez

Morrell has to understand that he is going to have to tfight and throw some punches in order to defeat David Benavidez. Boxing, moving and fighting off the back foot won’t get the job done.

If that was the case then Bivol would have easily defeated Beterbiev. He outboxed, outlanded and landed the sharper punches. Yet he still lost the fight. Simply because he moved while circling and backing up.

Even as he was landing the most punches.
