What other fights have you seen Hot Rod in. ???
I'll take that bet all day long
Hot Rod was green when he fought Beterbiev but you can see the talent already there
He gave Morrell fits and that is no easy task
Your right, I haven’t followed him. Only caught the losses, starting with Beterbiev. He fought scared in the Morell fight and I was bored. I much more enjoyed the Bene/Gvozdyk fight. Gvozdyk actually surprised me. I expected that he might be less competitive. He stood in the pocket and tried to press the younger man, but Benevidez was quicker and swept rhe early rounds with crisp counterpunching. Gvozdyk finished the fight strong inspite of that. I don’t see how you think he’s a shot fighter. I’ll set aside the fantasy match between him and Kaladjik, since I only know him from his losses.
I think you're exaggerating just a little bit. Hotrod can hang and win against this version of gvodzyk, and doesn't need a million years to do it, he ain't bivol nor beterview
Wow! I’m surprised of all the “Hot Rod” fans here. I’ll have to YouTube the guy. I saw the Beterbiev beatdown, and got bad flashbacks of Boots vs Karen Whatsisname from the Morell match.
Huh?

You're trying to diminish one to elevate the other. I don't have to be his fan to see it. And none of those fights are going to have a bearing on their match February 1st 2025.

He gave Morrell a hell of a fight that many people thought was a lose contest
Gvodzyk had hard time pulling the trigger and only did well , the later rounds , because Benny was exhausted ( I don’t buy at all his excuse about being injured )
Imo , Hot Rod of today vs Gvodzyk , he would get the win and possibly outbox him

We’ll never know. There’s nobody calling for that fight. Lol.
All questions will be answered on Feb 1st.
I’m stoked for this one.

You’ll see in my reply to Mulako that I have not seen him fight other than his losses to Beterbiev and Morell. The discussion was about him vs Gvozdyk. Kind of irrelevant, I know. He brought it up, not me. I didn’t see a totally shop worn Gvozdyk against Benevidez, nor have I seen anything in those two hot rod fights that would make me believe that he would run over Gvozdyk of today, let alone the version that got me paid when he faced Adonis. That’s all.
This thread you chimed in on has been a distraction.
Most of my comments on this subject have been more in line with exactly what you said, no need to “diminish one to elevate the other.”
All questions will soon be answered.

I just give you my two cents. I said hotrod is capable of beating this version of gvozyk, replying to your "not in million years" post(I thought it was an exaggeration), never say he would ran over him. The guy you saw against adonis was younger, 10 years younger than adonis too. So, Stevenson was not even in his prime. And yes, it is irrelevant. Morrell Jr vs benavidez is going to give us a few answers, so we can move on from the canelo circus act, and hopefully a good fight. Honestly, I was just engaging with you in a fun kind of way. Be safe.
I will second (or third, fourth, whatever) the love for the underrated Kalajdzic. He's a cracker and a fine boxer. I thought he was royally effed over in the Marcus Browne fight.
