garcia was at a catchweight and with a rehydration clause. he was a zombie and it showed in his performance and ability to take punches

Serious question, is Tank absolutely no longer able to hit 130 ever? I read somewhere he has some leeway for 135 so if he can, at this point I think he'll be rated better while fighting similar level opponents that he fights.

Now before everyone rips this idea and reminds me the obvious that 135 has significantly more talent than 130, hear me out. Sure, Tank's in a division with multiple talented opponents available, but does it matter that much if he isn't fighting any of them?
Haney and Teofimo is never coming back down to 135, Tank is never going back to 140+ ever. The Loma ship has sailed. He's shown zero interest in Shakur. Muratalla/Keyshawn probably won't cross path as they will likely stay in house
and raised to be the next young "star" for Top Rank. Oscar doesn't want to let Zepeda lose value. He's unwilling to join the Saudi cards that makes cross-platform easier. Even a circus money fight rematch with Garcia won't happen ever again given the weight difference at this point.

Tank is willing to fight Roach at 135 and getting ripped, but if it was at 130 it is a legit title fight. I don't really see the likes of Foster or Cacace being any type of struggle for Tank. An 130 unification or undisputed against Navarette will probably get great hype and interest 2nd to only to the Garcia fight in his career IMO.

That's a cool story. Let me know when Tank is willing to fight him or any other top contender in his weight class.

I like Tank, but he is not willing to fight the best fighters in his weight class.

You’re funny, Tank brought Ryan down and handicapped him with a rehydration clause after the weigh in. B!tch move!!! Ryan would hurt that midget in a fair fight.

You must be a Haney nut hugger, cuz last I checked he weight bullied Regis and came in over the Cali weight that was allowed in the second day weigh in. Nobody talks about that, but yeah, your boy is exactly what you’re crying about!

It struck me how when Tank was going through his legal trouble and needed someplace to do his house arrest sentence - which he ended violating the terms of, anyway - Ford told the judge Tank could stay at his apartment.

Apartment??? All the money Tank has made during his career and he hasn’t paid his trainer enough for him to be able to have a respectable-sized house - while Tank lives in some luxury Baltimore residence?

Anyway, let’s hope Tank’s not playing games and this fight really is off.
Ford is a good guy and so is the Upton coaching staff. Tank isn't the brightest guy and just because he doesn't publicly praise him, it doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate him. Ford could simply be a very good coach who isn't a yes man, and he pushes Tank hard.

Not a story, but an opinion. Until a fight actually happens, every imaginative result is just that, an opinion.

Hard to argue with the second half of your post.
