If he really wants it why doesn't he talk to PBC and Canelo? Turki has said he is no longer interested right after seeing him with Madrimov. He offered Ortiz to him and Ennis, they both turned it down.
Crawford hates being asked by youtubers and media people about Ennis, Ortiz and the other top dogs in the division. He'd rather retire. But he has to circle-jerk. He pretended, for example, wanting to unify with Fundora just few months ago just to give the media crumbs thinking the Canelo offer would arrive first, anyways. Then bam the WBO order to fight Sebastian came and he dismissed it. It would have been a good interim fight even just to break his one-fight-a-year cycle.

Crawford is doing an emergency exit pressing Turki every chance he gets. It's similar to Jermell taking an escape route. Except in Charlo's case, opportunity presented itself at the right moment. He didn't beg for it unlike in Crawford's situation now, which is still not clear.

Crawford even dismantled the middleman, Hearn, and talks to his highness directly. He might as well get the fight eventually. Ball is in Turki's court.

No it don't. Crawford is not a main stream star, he basically has no profile outside of the hardcore scene, and I don't recall Leonard moving up 21lbs. Its very much a pointless circus fight. If Canelo wins what will it prove exactly? That he is better than a welterweight? That he is the best at 168?

Wow, thought it was pretty obvious even to casuals.

Remember that he was maneuvering his way to Cruiserweight against the lowest hanging fruit (Makabu) at Cruiserweight in 2022 prior his beating by Bivol. (With a 190 catchweight.)

Do you think Canelo is willing to fight Badou Jack? Somehow has become WBC champion again after a year of inactivity and is 41 years old. Or is it too much of a risk for him?

What are Canelo's options for may? He ducked benavidez. Which is the fight boxing wanted and needed. And even if he manned up and said give me Beterbiev vs bivol winner, they wouldn't be ready for may.

So again, what are Canelo's options for may?

              Eubank Jr?
              Mbilli?
              Scully?

Or bud? You tell me which one is the best option for Saul

I imagine he will either fight Scull(IBF Champ) or Surac( who just defeated Munguia) because he's French. Mexicans celebrate May 5th in observance of a victorious battle over the French. If Ginger was successful in staging the Mexico vs Puerto Rico(Berlanga) rivalry, I'm sure his loyal fan base will eat up the Mexico vs France on May 5th weekend.

Any of those names is better than a fight with a guy moving 2-3 divisions up.
And it would not make any difference to the Mexican stars' paycheck.

But since none of those is happening, my preference is he should skip fighting in May. Let Crawford be pressured to fight the top guys in his own division at 154.

Looks like you don't seem to be concerned with the jump in weight. As a real fan how about asking what the other options for Crawford are? Why only Canelo?

                    - - Point is it's pointless. Canelo near retirement wants to go out with a **** of Bena for the WBC strap, really the only fight left for Canelo now...

Surace is fighting a rematch against munguia.
