How many big fights happened in America last year?

I can’t really think of many. Canelo’s two fights and Garcia-Haney. Maybe the Crawford/Saudi show too. US boxing is really in decline.

According to Oscar Dela Hoya it's the fighters' who are killing the sport in America.

I don't even care where it happens anymore, as long as we get great fights lol 2024 was much better than many years we had. Plus, I was getting tired of staying awake till 1am to watch main events. Then Saudi cards end at 6pm; my sleep schedule benefitted from this Turki dude

Lol is this some kind of troll thread? Who gives a fvkc. I've always been a fan of getting the fights we want not where it happens. But I guess your aiming at the pbc marks

I'm pretty sure there were a couple or three decent dust ups near some dive bars in NY.

Boxing in America is dead and has been for some time.

Too many divas like Shakur and Tank fighting stiffs

It takes two to tango. When one fighter won't cooperate and make little effort to make the fight, that's it. Fight is DOA. You can blame promoters, your dog, cat, but only fighters involved can make fights happen. You've seen recent examples.

To be fair a lot of that is down to the Saudi effect which is a new variable and not the norm. Bivol/Beterbiev, Fury/Usyk, Wilder/Zhang etc would have almost certainly taken place in the US if they'd happened a few years ago.

I think things will be okay. The US has quite a lot of good talent in their 20s (in Motons case even younger) who are either already established or up and coming.

yeah i don't remember many either. With boxrec being ****s that no longer list the WBA fights it's a bit harder to check.

Saudi is making the sport seasonal. Everyone is just waiting around for this Riyadh season BS.
