I know everybody hates him, but I think Bradley could be right.

Ramirez is 30 & has already not lived up to the hype (2x Olympic gold medalist).

He already seems only 1/2 committed to the sport.

I think it just might be best for him to hang it up before he really gets hurt.

That said, BJS is pathetic for giving Dubois stick and then doing exactly the same thing. No sympathy for that lad.
The Dubois Joyce was not a quit. Even with swollen and damaged eye he still tried his best to give a good fight. I never look at that fight as a quit even though i saw a lot of people call him a quitter, his eye was literally closed and had a orbital fracture.

If you have a genuine serious injury, like eye, i don't see it as quit eye sight is way more important.

There was still plenty of time left, but things were certainly looking good for the Cuban. It’ll be interesting to see where both men go from here.
yeah he is a good fighter and can still beat alot of guys I'm sure

It's absolutely irresponsible and disgusting what Tess and Kriegel had to say. I've had double vision in a vertical manner and there is no way you can fight more less just function. These wimps probably have never even been in a fist fight. I lost a lot of respect for both of them. Kriegel's "The Good Son" is still a great read but he was way off on this one.

Was there really controversy over the way the fight ended? I only watched and didn’t discuss it or read any comments on it until now. I thought it was a legit stop, I mean if he can’t continue because he can’t see well, what do people expect? He’s not a bat.

100% Dubois did the right thing. If he didn’t stop he could’ve been permanently blinded etc, could’ve never been able to box again. Now he has a world title, is making great money and is arguably top 3 in the division.

Why sacrifice your health for a load of randos short term ‘respect’.
