        Talk about obvious gaslighting.

Don't know why people make simple things complicated.

Main straightforward reason is Jaron Ennis changed his mind and realized he's not ready to move up, which contradicts his previous statements of approving a fight with Ortiz or Crawford. He's being asked about it for the past months many times over. He had to expect the fight being finally worked out. It's not like it's not a question that shouldn't be asked by people around him who have very few questions to ask. He and Ortiz have been paired together as potential matchup for the past few years. And he had to assume a fight with either Bud or Vergil has to take place at 154.

Yes he is. At the end of the day the fighter is the boss, the fighter has the final say so

The danger here with Ennis is getting beat by a lesser opponent. I doubt he will be offered retirement money for his next fight. And he had to make sure he stays undefeated, or look good. He also have to pick a high-profile opponent, otherwise the ducking label will be forever etched on his rep.

Espinoza just saying he didn't duck with no explanation at all is not going to convince anyone. Espinoza acts like he has so much influence he thinks he can just say it ain't so and people will believe it. Thats not how it works. He did not address Ennis' own contradicting words after the Karen fight and last weeks words.

The problem is Boots has a super star entitled mentality. He talks all day about the big opponent opportunities yet he bypasses and continues to hype himself up and embarrasses himself with the weak strength of record opponents he consistently ends up fighting. Guys like Espinoza continue to enable this type of attitude from Boots & team.
