Comments Thread For: The training wheels are off in 2025 for PBC and Amazon Prime

After an exciting but somewhat restrained start to their partnership, the union between Amazon Prime Video and Premier Boxing Champions is expected to deliver a more robust boxing schedule in 2025, according to former head of Showtime Sports, Stephen Espinoza, now working as a consultant for PBC.

This is one of the most embarrassing articles I can recall reading here. It’s not even worthy of a press release. All you do is fawn about PPVs and Amazon prime which have nothing to do with each other because people without Amazon Prime can also buy the pay-per-view for the same Overinflated prices. They couldn’t even give you a little scrap of what will be on the very rare non-PPV cards on actual Amazon prime lol Maybe another fluff piece and they’ll give you some of the prelim fighters

Added Espinoza of the changing winds of the boxing industry and new platforms getting into the sport, “Clearly, the U.S. boxing market is in transition"

Going from bad to worse then, eh Steve?

They had a terrible 2024. Saudi has really damaged US boxing.

I know some folks dont want to hear/read this but... PBC has been left behind when it comes both quantity and quality of boxing cards. And its shame since I expected way more from their Prime partnership.

Matter or fact Benavirez-Morrell is being made precisely cause of that.

The article really seems vague to be modest
The weasel is just preparing us for some more overpriced ppvs
